I realize this may make me sound like a psychopath, but I legitimately do eat my kiwi fruits like this.
I straight up bite into it unpeeled and am not bothered by the inconsequential fuzzy part because it's immediately immersed in the delicious fruit pulp.
I'm weird. I cut the skin off, eat the flesh, then eat the skin. There's just a different texture between the two and I like to experience them individually.
Cut the ends off then scoop out the middle with a spoon. Or cut it in half and eat each half with a spoon like a grapefruit. If they're ripe, both methods are super easy.
People who eat them whole, skin and all, are fucking weird.
I cut it in half and kind of gnaw the innards out. I don't eat the skin, too fuzzy. I think some of modern kiwifruit have smoother skins, but I've been eating them since they were called Chinese gooseberries and to me they're forever fuzzy.
This, but sometimes I’ll roll a slice out of its skin as I eat it, like pulling the ripcord on a gyroscope. Then I’ll eat the strip of skin on its own. Only a monster licks the cream out of an Oreo and leaves the biscuit behind.
I usually rinse them. The spines relax enough when wet.
Alternatively there's the golden kiwis which have skin that remind me of pears, just thicker. They don't have spines. I'd still to prefer to rinse them, but more because you should rinse fruits and veggies if you're going to eat the skin.
I suet to scoop aswell but now eat the whole thing. Started doing it after seeing a coworker do it. They said you don't notice it and gave me one of thiers. I tried it that way, and they were right. I didn't notice it.
