Reported less than five of this dipshit's posts and he ended up banning me from all of his communities. Doesn't really surprise me. I've known that reports on Lemmy are faulty and Admin only reports, or more control of who receives them has been suggested but Lemmy's devs never listen.

My advice is to just send messages directly to your Admins as well as his admins, then he can't intercept them.

No hate to the admins if they are underpaid or whatever. SDF just needs to appoint reachable and bare minimally invested admins, and if they can’t maybe shouldn’t be running a Lemmy instance; it’s not really a “set it and forget it” deal.

Yesterday I was reading the post about the FUTO keyboard where there were a lot of messages deleted by moderators.
I've commented there

What the heck happened with all the messages deleted by moderator?

And it got deleted. Right now you can only see 4, but I've counted 19 messages moderated and the post has been locked. Why?
I've had a look ad the modlog and the messages don't seems to violate any policy (now they've removed them in the modlog too).

I'm pinging here lemmy.ml admin and the mods of the open source community where the post was posted so they can have their say about it and clarify the situation to me.

5. It was an appreciated post with 106 upvotes 26 downvotes at deletion and several positive responses yesterday. When I came back today (I'm in Australia so timezones..) the comment was deleted and I was banned - and several negative comments have appeared which I would have liked to respond to.

Original post: a news article about Proton Mail.

My post: Essentially I took the time to read the article and included the quotes of what was written by the CEO that was being discussed in the article - as many in the comments had surprised me by jumping straight to him being a literal Nazi. I had already seen half the comment section of the post with ban marks. This single comment copped me a fully-expected permaban. Unfortunately my comment doesn't show up in modlogs so I had to retype it more or less from memory.

Most of the banned comments are actually still visible. If you browse the thread you'll notice there's nothing particularly inflammatory or banworthy about any of them.

Although personally in favor of Palestinian independence and critical of war crimes committed by Israel in its siege of Gaza, I attempted to explain in a back-and-forth discussion with a user (only afterwards learning was one of the community's two moderators) why protest voting in the 2024 election to "punish" the democrats in favor of the republicans harmed the ultimate interest of reigning in Israeli violence in Palestine.

To further emphasize the damage caused by such a protest vote, I argued that not only is Palestine worse off with Trump elected instead of Harris, but as are a myriad of other social issues. The other user disagreed, arguing that Trump's return to office facilitated the ceasefire, rather than my argument that Netanyahu deliberately delayed it to help Trump get elected.

If I broke a rule, I apologize, but I'd like to know what I did. Yesterday, I posted a user-generated map of ICE agent sightings and Lemmy.world's automod immediately deleted the post and banned me from the entire site. I have no idea why that post, above all my other interactions with !resist@fedia.io, warranted a sitewide ban. Is it because I changed the title to blame a vile subreddit when the map went down? I really hope it isn't partisan bias.

I was in an incident that led to people complaining about me here and by extension in Ask Lemmy, one which I explained my perspective on elsewhere. Then, when sharing my perspective, I was asked by a certain Blaze to share it in YPTB, only for those in charge there to give what amounted to a signal of disregard for it and to take it elsewhere. That question is useful for most of the people, as LW hosts 36% of the users base, and most of the active communities (https://lemmyverse.net/communities?order=active). Removing it as a support question seems questionable.
