Help me overcome my irrational hatred of the color blue
NATO, The Police, every fucking imperial ass flag, rich grifters wearing blue suits. It's made me associate this color with the shittiest of ghouls. I avoid it like the plague.
But this is irrational and silly, it's just a color and hating a color because it's widely used by monstrous capitalists to lul you into a false sense of calm is silly.
I grew up in a place where wearing blue would get you fucked with by gang members so I avoid blue and red. That hasn’t been a thing in a long time and I’m showing my age but I still avoid those.
I have a blue house with a blue window. Blue is the colour of all that I wear. Blue are the streets, and all the trees are too. I have a girlfriend, and she is so blue.
Blue are the people here that walk around. Blue like my corvette, its in and outside. Blue are the words I say and what I think
Blue is also the color of water, comrade. It signifies water on maps, gps displays, underground utlity maps, public infrastructure maps (at least in the US it does), and building plans. That’s just because I work with water tho.
But before all that even, blue makes me think of swimming pools. It makes me think of cool clear water to go swimming in.
it is time to remind comrades to not just touch grass, but to touch ocean, sea, river or pool
the feeling of, let alone the physical concept of buoyancy is such a calming feeling. I strongly recommend everyone who is able should go for a swim every once in a while to relieve stress
I like it because it's the rarest colour in nature. Out of the hundreds of species of wildflowers here, I'd only consider three of them to be blue. One bird out of dozens is properly blue, two if you count the bluish-grey blue heron. As a pigment it was so rare that Europeans pretty much only used it to paint Mary for centuries. Seeing natural blue is always nice.
On mountains, the sky turns an insane shade of blue the higher you get over 10k feet, the views are unbeatable. It's the color of pure alpine lakes, pretty wildflowers, dope ass birds, and half of my backpacking gear. Jeans are nice. Sometimes I like wearing as many colors as possible, and my fits don't work without the color blue
