Nom-nom-nom - "It's official act! Nom-nom-nom...
It's virtue upvoting and fantasy football election fantasies. Every post was upvoted. There's no way you could convince me that people read them or even scanned most of them.
i'm getting so, so tired of the doomerism on here, and the press loves covering shit like a horse race instead of explaining fundamentals and what's at play, a job that seems to fall to @golikehellmachine.com on here. so here's a thread about why i'd rather be biden — yes, biden — right now
And - Biden's team says he won't have events after 8 pm. Getting him to election day without more "bad days" will be a quite struggle.
In the very near future I assume after around 6ish pm he's done for the day. And as the days continue the sunset comes earlier and earlier - so will appearances after late afternoon. In October if he's still the candidate - I bet he'll never have any activity of any kind even in private with donors after ~3 pm. Recording devices can be everywhere. And it takes just one recording of a "bad day" Biden for it to be like Romney's "47% shiftless freeloaders" secretly recorded clip.

A Bluesky thread
Amazing the Olivia Nuzzi story can’t get a single person to go on the record, and the strongest evidence against Biden’s mental health is he didn’t remember her name.

Emphasis mine.
Longtime friends of the Biden family, who spoke to me on the condition of anonymity, were shocked to find that the president did not remember their names. At a White House event last year, a guest recalled, with horror, realizing that the president would not be able to stay for the reception because, it was clear, he would not be able to make it through the reception.
The guest wasn't sure they could vote for Biden, since the guest was now open to an idea that they had previously dismissed as right-wing propaganda: The president may not really be the acting president after all. Others told me the president was becoming increasingly hard to get ahold of, even as it related to official government business, the type of things any U.S. president would communicate about on a regular basis with high-level officials across the world.
r/politics thread. It's at zero with 42% upvoted.
Not yet. But inshallah - it will be.
Timing helped Biden tremendously. Imagine the debate had been in February and it was March right now. The idiom of not changing horses mid-stream - wouldn't exactly be true. There'd be enough time. Biden would be under a microscope and if his interview went badly tomorrow - he'd be toast. Also this week the rumors and whispering would have been far worse to replace him. And I think Kalama would be his replacement. Anything else would be rightfully seen as racist and misogynistic.
Why?
Not only is it very late in the game - today is the Fourth of July. Boldface name libs had nothing to gain by asking directly for his ouster the last few days or today. It's dumb but American exceptionalism crap demands obedience to symbolism. If Biden's interview is bad - the weekend might be just far enough away from the "sacred" day that the dem ouster machine starts going in earnest.
If Biden's interview is very good - it might be enough that the MSNBC talking heads (etc) start using the "don't change horses mid-stream" as they "look, replacing him would be chaos..." and they pretend Tired Old Joe with his rancid Delaware clam chowder brainpan isn't at high risk of implosion and massive electrical collapse.

Edit
Ageism is hiring a 25 year old instead of a better qualified 55 year old. It's not "ageism" to say that an 81 year old or a 78 year old might not be able to handle the world's most demanding job.

That guy is kind of a bigwig on lib Bluesky. I'm almost shocked that he said it. I thought he was a firmly a "don't change horses because it's too late" guy. But Biden has lost him.
Yoda has a son named Yonter. He spends money on gratol, hits the wantrel pipe, and does tons of trobane. His exploits are covered in the Quantumbolids and TMZ. He's also a painter.
He sounds breathy and hissy.

President Joe Biden is vowing to keep running for reelection as he rejects pressure from within his Democratic Party to withdraw after a disastrous debate performance raised questions about his readiness.
For the 2016ers - it will never not be 2016. It was her turn.
