A new launcher and mod portal, plus a beta version of the idStudio toolset, are now live on Steam.
Pog? I can't even imagine what the mod community will cook up for this game. QoL, new enemies, maps, weapons? The possibilities are endless

First thing I thought of was "I wonder if I can recreate the original game's levels with this."
22 0 ReplyOriginal as in Eternal's levels themselves or DOOM 1993's?

Cool to see behind the scenes at modern IdTech tools
16 0 ReplyI wish they released the engine like they used to. IdTech whatever version we're on now has to be epic.
11 1 ReplyIt’s kind of awesome to think every call of duty game, valve game and Id software game still all use an engine that originated from quake!

Marty Stratton of id Software tries to throw Mick Gordon and his entire music production career in front of a bus over the Doom Eternal OST issues: https://www.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/gdg25y/doom_eternal_ost_open_letter/
Mick Gordon responds with receipts and even time stamps in files from the id audio designer: https://medium.com/@mickgordon/my-full-statement-regarding-doom-eternal-5f98266b27ce
Bethesda's eventual response in a tone seeming written by Stratton himself: https://www.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/1enfvfm/has_marty_stratton_found_his_appropriate_venue_yet/
Fuck anything from id Software/Bethesda/ZeniMaxi Media until chucklefuck Marty Stratton is out.

8 0 ReplyThey just released a Doom 1/2 combo pack that has a bunch of mods included as well as a mod browser for new mods. And the mods are all supported on console. I was playing Doom in Princess Peach's castle on my Xbox yesterday.

3 1 ReplyIs there a version that makes audio with Bluetooth headphones actually work? I tried playing the other day and it was completely unplayable.
2 3 ReplyI think that has more to do with your system and the quality of Bluetooth audio than it does the specific game or application.
21 0 ReplyNo, it's fairly common. You can find a number of people complaining about the same thing. No other games, including Doom 2016, have this issue.
