I know that they usually don't do anything, but they're still scary as fuck. Something their form and equipment not having changed for the last million years or so is just very intimidating
Probably 7 if Gascoigne is pre blood-drunkeness. Eileen is an amazing character and from the little back story we get about Gascoigne and his partner, Gascoigne was cool too
The prospect of mods on a PC port makes it all the more unfortunate that there is no PC port yet
Well yes, but actually no. You could argue that many a story does not specifically need any sequels. We know that FromSoft is perfectly capable to put out awesome follow-ups to games, though, be it in form of DLC or actual sequels, so the cry for more Bloodborne is one I can understand perfectly well and personally resonate with.
Diablo 1 is also a self-contained story and does not require a sequel to be a good story and game, but despite the corporate, money-driven motivations of ActiBlizzard's recent Diablo games, Diablo 2 elevated the genre and game series to a whole new level. Who's to say that Bloodborne 2 can't? Lies of P is definitely a worthy competitor
Holy shite. Fixed it a little at least
I don't like your profile pic. Always makes wanna check my phone screen
Dude, this is Shepard for me. I didn't even think about playing as a male Shepard mainly because he looks like a giant douche. Like, the standard white guy. No front to anyone enjoying a male Shepard, but not really for me. Her performance is stellar indeed, though
I am vegan (pull out the pitchforks) and am pretty vocal about it on here and used to be on the other website. I wouldn't say I'm an activist per se, but every comment and post I make about the subject whenever it's brought up makes me feel like I'm making a difference. If the comment resonates with someone reading and leads to fewer animals and animal-derived products being consumed, I'm happy. So yea, for sure.
Same goes for the two communities I created and mod (c/sekiro and c/bloodborne if anyone's curious). A bot has recently helped me fill the communities with content since engagement isn't super high from community members themselves. Before the bot, I tried to make daily posts in both communities, thinking it's content that I enjoy so others would likely too. Since they're still quite niche and don't have a massive following, I think it's definitely a good start for people interested in the games
Cool post btw. I think it's easy to lose oneself in the daily monotomy that is life and work and stuff, so reminding oneself that participating in communities such as Lemmy is making a difference in one shape or form
I do not agree with widely agreed upon, backed by scientists theory that numerous studies and research has proven to be plausible lol
The thing is, when people try to argue that "killing" plants is also killing so I might as well just eat animals, apart from being an insane take as is imho, significantly fewer plants are harvested if you switch to a fully vegan diet. The net result is a lot fewer plants needed to sustain people vs. the oodles and oodles of plants and grains needed to feed cattle, pigs, whatever. There are these charts that show how much more efficient food intake really is if you cut out the middle-man - being animals - and just eat the plants they'd be fed instead.
People just try to discredit vegan whenever they can because of their own insecurities and cognitive dissonance. People who actively oppose veganism, that is
I'm wondering how many years it'll take for this sample to be up there with all the other classic samples of jungle and dnb
Super controversial too, in case you didn't know
I like me some carbonated water personally, and tap water in Germany is super clean and tastes nice almost everywhere. However, I've heard of some people before that they dislike Sodastreams for some reason or another. What gives?

It's around 40ish FPS on a base PS4 which kinda puts it in an uncanny-valley-sorta area where it looks smoother than the standard 30FPS and also more sluggish at the same time. Still awesome to play
As previously mentioned in the first attempt, I spoke to Demigrodrick, the instance admin of Lemmy.zip, about how their bot processes reddit posts and might have found a solution. They have put in a lot of work to get their instance bot to work on here as I originally envisioned it: not only linking to reddit posts but rather creating proper image posts including the post's body. Now, there seem to be some issues with how these posts are displayed on the numerous Lemmy apps, specifically on Jerboa where it's just linking to the original post.
I'd like to ask of you to be patient with me/us (the SoulsFetchBot) for the time being since this is just an early implementation that can be iterated upon should any of you find something missing or not working as you'd like the bot to.
Do feel free to reach out and report any issues - I want to get this working!
Edit: The issue seems to have been resolved. The update should roll out soon-ish
Edit 2: Videos cannot be pulled by the bot properly via RSS, so I will just delete video posts whenever I see them for the time being

I was a little sceptical about the game because while not actively trying to be Bloodborne 2, the media and fans have been hyping it up to be. After trying the demo, I wasn't really convinced either since the game felt quite clunky to me and the mechanics hadn't hooked me in.
Now after having jailbroken my PS4 and having given Lies of P another try, I'm actually quite enjoying my time. The mix of bleak atmosphere and colour palette paired with music very reminiscent of Bloodborne, the parry mechanic that reminds me a lot of Sekiro when it comes to boss attacks and their timings, and the new mechanics - like a free heal after dealing enough damage when out of heals - that add a certain quality of life to the genre, makes me enjoy my time quite a lot so far.
Mind you, I've only played for around 3h or so, but what I've seen so far has been convincing, indeed.
Have you guys given Lies of P a try? What is your opinion on the game? Where would you rank it in your Souls tierlist?
