  • Someone already answered, but also here's the full interaction rather than just America guy:

  • Hopefully the language they speak is more intelligible too.

  • In the case of drugs, people usually refer to someone being "one shotted" when they experience long term or permanent changes because they took too much, the wrong drug, or just weren't psychologically ready for it.

  • Was this your character?

  • Just tried to look it up. So e/acc is basically AI bros?

How would this change the character?

  • Life comes first, and I hope everything goes well with the upcoming surgery @Zoidsberg@lemmy.ca. Please don't add a single bit of stress regarding anything on lemmy to your life right now.

I didn't catch this drama live, but someone linked it to me after the fact, and I was honestly pretty disappointed to see an admin talk to users this way. I don't think the reporter was wrong to notify the admins that someone was advocating murder on their instance, and they certainly didn't deserve to be banned and mocked for it.

Then I started seeing other similar posts (like the one Blaze linked in a different comment) showing that this wasn't an isolated thing, and I was a bit disheartened because I love sharing memes here, but it's really hard to build a community when users are worried about an admin lashing out at them. I've lost some trust. =(

  • The Uruk-Hai, however, are more doors.

  • Oh, me too! I think sometimes it's people sorting by TOP/ALL or just scrolling all the way through some of the less active communities.

  • Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I thought it used to be possible, then for a number of years they started "archiving" posts and not allowing interaction, then they changed it back.

  • I still occasionally get replies on reddit from threads that are over a decade old. I used to use reddit a lot, but that has dropped to almost nothing after switching to Lemmy.

  • It's just applying the Simpsons characters to an existing meme format.

  • And above the land is Con Air

  • Happy to help! Lol

  • Because otherwise the data would be artificially lower in areas with more children.

For example, imagine a suburb in Utah filled with college educated software engineers with big Mormon families. If you count the kids, it might look like people there don't have degrees.
