My gf was finishing a semester before she was to move out to California with me. I awoke to a butt-dial voicemail of her dry-humping a guy. She tried to say it wasn't what it was. I transferred the audio to my computer and sent it to her (online, but in 2002, so I think it still applies to the question cause we didn't have voip and such). She couldn't defend it. I never spoke to her again.

What a failure for his family and loved ones. I remember watching the bodycams when they got released and they beat him savagely and then showed disregard for his well being when he slumped over by a car. This jury was made of fools.

I wouldn't go through the hours of airport misery for shows that aren't huge. I'm seeing shows that I can get to by train, uber, or even a short walk for a couple of venues. Investing thirty minutes of travel is a no-brainer. Multiple hours has to be tremendously special. Plus the time I'd have to take from work each time. You don't just fly in after working a full day and fly back after the show without a lot of investment. There's no way flying would be manageable. And then the added cost.

I absolutely believe this. It's similar to the idea that being poor costs more money than being rich. I remember when I ran out of plates and was living on the edge of covering rent. I couldn't save enough for dishware because I kept having to buy disposable plates. My brother once described being unable to pay an overdue electric bill because he kept having to buy candles for light. Desperate situations keep people desperate.

Fortunately, neither of us is in such a bad place anymore, fwiw.
