I’ve always wondered why the majority of female serial killers aren’t motivated by psychosexual reasons. Most of them killed for material gain; or they gravitated towards abusive people and kept killing them; or they did it for fun; or they did it for “mercy” (e.g. the killer nurses).

Like everyone knows who Dahmer and Gacy are, but you’d be hard pressed to find someone who can name the female equivalent so easily.

If you factor in patriarchy, then it contributed to the male ones becoming more entitled and angry over perceived rights being violated. I've long believed that foot fetishism in western culture is at least partially driven by the patriarchal habit of putting women in uncomfortable situations.

I say "in western culture" because this actually gets flipped if you go to eastern culture. A woman using her feet is using in the dominating position rather than an uncomfortable submissive/service position as depicted in western culture.
