I was on a great gaming platform loved by many the other day and loaded up a beloved roguelike once named game of the year by six separate magazines, but after I played for a while, I felt like playing a time-tested MMORPG seen by many throughout the years as the "one to beat", so I switched to a smaller, company-specific game launcher known to be plagued by ads masquerading as news and started playing.
Yeah, but the sentiment is the same. They only backpedaled because people spoke up. They still think users of their platform can be nickel and dimed like that, and chances are they’ll try again. Most likely to a lesser extent, but people will accept it because “it’s not as bad as what they wanted before.”
