It's funny how often they will go with "but they will be poor and starving if they are unfairly burdened, the poor mom and pop landlords!" Like that is supposed to give us sympathy for them because they would have to work or find another income source, like most of us have to. Landlords and capitalists have a different worldview altogether, they are unable to empathize with anyone opposed to it.
