That's not at all weird. First off, you are assuming that their arguments are in good faith. I'll give you a way to always know when their arguments are in bad faith: They're conservatives. It's the only arguments they have. Second, they want you in the women's bathrooms and locker rooms so that they can gang up and kick your ass because you are clearly a man. That's the whole reason.

- Forced detransition is one part of it. The other is just forcing all cis women to adhere very strictly with female gender roles. Wouldn't want anyone thinking you're trans, better grow your hair out, wear a full face of make up, wear skirts every day, wear feminine colors, and carry yourself to enforced feminine social standards (can't be too loud men have such booming voices after all, can't stand up to men because women are afraid of men right, can't stand or sit too in too masculine a way women always have their legs together, etc).
  Cause if someone thinks you're trans you'll get the tar kicked out of you, possibly even thrown in jail. They'll just accuse you of having a fake drivers license and having had bottom surgery. Gender non-conformity is a legitimate liability in places with biological gender essentialist laws about bathrooms.
