“Lawyers at the so-called Justice Department made this request to his attorneys within hours of us having asked the court to stop them from doing precisely that,” Lee told the Guardian. “It’s very difficult to explain how unprecedented this is.
“This is something that should shock everybody. The most fundamental right in a democracy is the right to seek redress for grievances against the government,” Lee added. “God knows where they would send [Taal], simply because he decided to access the federal courts with American citizen colleagues to challenge whether what Trump is doing is legal or not.”
The timing is designed to send a very clear message that anyone criticizing Trump is risking imprisonment and/or deportation. And we are hearing more stories now about officers asking people for their views on Trump at the border, and searching people's phones for anti-Trump sentiment. It's remarkable how quickly US law enforcement has jumped onto the dictatorship bandwagon.

  Law Enforcement has always been pro-authoritarian, since it's inception in the US at least.
  They expect you to obey, or die. Particularly if you don't look or do what they think you should.

Question: IF he were to surrender, would he be deported to the UK or to a South American prison?
If it's the latter, can he cross into Canada and just go home for his safety?
I'm not saying he should, I'm asking what his options are.
- In general if entering by land a UK citizen should only need to present their passport at the border to be granted entry to Canada.

  He's a protestor for Palestine. He hates Jews and is explicit about it. He wants the genocide of 7 million Jews.
  What more is there to say? Do you need an exact quote? "From the river to the sea" is there.
- The First Amendment applies to everyone and this is clearly a violation of that. Put your hand down, we won't call you again, kid.

- I would argue that immigration is a right, not just a privilege. If people want to be Americans, the government should not be able to stop them.
  
  I would argue that it's not, and it's one of few jobs that the government is responsible for.
