Choose one from each generation.

  1. Bulbasaur (but it is so close because all three are good choices)
  2. Totodile (but IMO Chikorita gets too much hate)
  3. Torchic
  4. Fart monkey (Turtwig is nice too. Piplup is cute but turns into a monarchist)
  5. The hog, although Emboar should have been fire/dark.
  6. Chespin because I like pangolins but all the starters are kind of meh here.
  7. All three of these are perfect babies but I had to pick Rowlet because birb. Gen 7 is perfect, fuck you. Gamefreak make Decidueye competitive you cowards.
  8. All three are meh, Sword and Shield is blah.
  9. The zombie crocodile because he comes with a free bird in his final evo. All three are perfect babies though.

    2. Totodile (Reminds me of my Alma Mater. I want to try Chikorita again as a bulky support type).
    3. Treecko (Cool offensive speed guy and I'm partial to grass types, despite them all being cool)
    4. Turtwig (My first starter. Gen 4 nostalgia, don't talk about there being no fire types except Chimchar.)
    5. Grass snake- He's alright.
    6. Ninja Frog- (Very basic take from me)
    7. Rowlet- (Adorable owl)
    8. Fire Rabbit (Adorable and cute)
    9. Weed Cat- (Despite not smoking weed, I still find this meme funny. Plus it's adorable)

    On a related note, I wish they buffed Azumarill earlier.

  • Bulbasaur: i always like bulbasaur from the anime and hope GF will bring back its mega

    Cyndaquil: mostly because of the hisuan version

    Mudkip: king of adv OU

    Turtwig: i love the turtle and its ground/grass stabs now it gets shell smash

    Snivy: i like snakes and contrary leaf storm

    Froakie: a really cool ninja frog

    Rowlet: i just like his last evo look

    Grookey : its one of the best grass mons

    Fuecoco: best unaware tank plus its a croc

    2. Totodile (i chose bayleef on the playthrough, then cyndie on arceus but of the three I think totodile has the funniest personality from the anime)
    3. Torchic (i kinda feel like I'd like mudkip if itsl weren't for the ovedone meme)
    4. Piplup (they're all cute, the design rhis gen was great across the board imo)
    5. Snivy (I didn't play this gen tho)
    6. Froakie (frog. I know gren is a fan fave but I don't really care much for it, I actually like delphox as the stage 2)
    7. Rowlet (perfect Pokemon literally :rowlett-oh-noes:)
    8. Sobble (just a shy little froggie kinda thing)
    9. Sprigatito but the duck a close second (I didn't choose it because I wasn't super jazzed by its stage 2 evo)

  • Lol I have almost the exact same opinions as you except I love Oshawott (Dewott is the best middle stage, Samurott is a disappointment) and I hate Chespin. Gen 6 and 8 easily have the worst starters imo.

    If I'm ranking starter selections, it goes Sinnoh > Alola > Hoenn > Paldea > Johto > Unova > Kanto > Galar > Kalos

  • Charmander - I would like a Flying Type eventually, though I think Charmander is really cute. Squirtle otherwise and is almost always my first pick.

    Chikorita - would not evolve. I like the little thing.

    Mudkip - Swampert seems like the most dependable water type final evolution.

    Turtwig - Torterra is just cool.

    Snivy - though I feel bad he loses arms upon evolution.

    Chespin - though the humanoid final forms start to bother me here

    Rowlet - A ghost type evolution is cool and I mean look at Rowlet.

    No pick - the final forms have long since stopped being animals in an ecosystem and more humanoid references, but this was too far.

    Fuecoco because his final form actually resembles an animal.

  • What's the generation 9 game called? Gonna try playing it to see what modern Digimans game look like these days.

    • Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet

      They look like ass sometimes (The Switch seems to have trouble with open world games. Maybe something to do with ram or memory or whatever) but if you can look past that, they're a good time.

    And no, I don't remember 9th gen cause I can't play those games due to the framerate. Makes me ill with all the framerate jumping.

    I must hate fire. To be fair, I really do love Cyndaquil. All of the starters in 2nd gen are amazing.
