The difference here is that there previously weren't such restrictions, and she's not even putting up a fight when Republicans actively worsen conditions relative to the previous status quo. Putting up resistance to any attempts to go backwards should be the bare minimum for anyone who claims to be fighting for the rights of a marginalized group.

The gym part is even more confusing for me, like why do they have a women's gym in the white house to begin with, is it just a historical vestige or is there so much sexual harassment in DC that they needed to lock out the men? It's not a particularly normal thing in the US to have women's gyms, the YWCA allow men. Even if they are going with the she's not a woman argument, how does that apply to the gym?
