It's probably going to be a bad time for trans people. I expect a lot more laws preventing trans people from playing sports in high school. I'm worried about migrants, homeless, Gaza but I already was. There will probably be more abortion restrictions in more states. Conservatives might get like a 7 or 8 seat majority on the supreme court.
Now that the democrats have been cast into the desert again, liberals might start pretending to care about our issues again. But they did not pretend. They made it clear that we would not have a seat at the table with Kamala and now we still won't have a seat at the table and neither will they.
I didn't know how jokerfied I've gotten because while I'm still disappointed that Trump is going to be president again, it's also hilarious that she did even worse than Hillary. The democrats are an absolutely terrible party. I'm sad Trump won and glad Kamala lost. She was talking about protecting black people's crypto and campaigning with the Cheneys and would not take a stance for or against anything, even against genocide.
Until tonight, based on what happened in the 2022 elections I thought the GOP was way overplaying their hand on the anti-trans stuff. I thought most Americans are way more ambivalent than the GOP thinks they are. I still think that’s basically true, but the Democrats now can look at these results and completely back off from supporting trans rights (I mean, even less than their pathetic efforts before).
Kamala wasn't gonna do anything about v-coding or employment discrimination anyway. Healthcare is necessary but more affluent trans people should still be able to get it illegally.
No fair, I was hoping a Huey Long- style demagogue would promise to redistribute sex before it got to that. The only way this madness can be funny is when it's done by a Southern guy who sounds like an auctioneer. I still say this'll be the Republican platform in 2028.
I'm not convinced Trump thinks about us any further than just getting his piglets to squeal at a rally. He'll be more cruel if he gets around to it, but immigrants are who he's liable to actually commit a genocide against.
Tbh at this point I'm not to worried about it, at least in terms of legal stuff. Getting gender affirming care is probably going to become a bitch, and its not like hes going to oppose any anti-lgbt laws stateside (not like Kamala would either, lets be real), but I think Trump only cares about being against transgender people as far as getting elected. Once he's in office he's probably going to have other things to focus on.
I'm a little more concerned about Vance and the alt-right groups that'll be emboldened by this though. Kinda hard to tell what'll happen with them at this point, and I do feel worried about an influx of hate crimes being possible.
Biden launches a nuclear missile in America after election night, just like how the loss of love towards Vivec resulted in the destruction of Morrowind.
