I just remember hearing Pete repeat the mantra "will power" over and over again in that episode where he tries dieting. Being a kid at the time I heard it as "wheel power" and to this day I will on rare occasions break out in mantras of "wheel power wheel power."
One of the many quirks about me that came from learning to parrot cartoon dialogue as a kid.
The talespin gang had a reunion in the recent duck tales series; can't recall the episode but you meet them at a point in their lives many years after the original show took place.
We had the Disney channel on tv, so I watched that probably 50 times. Not because I liked it but because what else was I going to do? Also saw Johnny Tsunami, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, Smart House, Hocus Pocus. It was bad, but it was content
I watched it, but as The Disney Afternoon went, it was my least favorite show. I personally liked Tailspin the best, with Darkwing Duck and Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers tied for second place.
Honestly didn't care for them either, though the scene where Goofy and Max are in the car and they eat like Spaghetti-Os or soup or something from a can that he heats with the car's built-in lighter is stuck in my mind.
I also hated Goofy, it seemed like he was being purposely obtuse, and it infuriated me. Unfortunately, my brother liked it, so we watched it, and to this very day three decades later, every time I paint a wall, the music in the background of my head gets changed to Goofy's voice repeating, "Hyuk, all good folks.... Paint with even strokes.... All good folks, hyuk... Paint with even strokes...." 😑
