I started my social service this semester which is something that all people that study in university in México must do in order to graduate, im working in a scientific article about permaculture which has been pretty interesting.

The governor of México City mention that they will teach nahuatl in 72 schools to promote the language and some whitexicans are complaining that "it isnt a useful language"

I really want people to understand that just because you are of a marginalized identity or experience, that doesn't mean that you're magically exempt from being an oppressor...
It seems like intersectionality is practically non-existent in 99% of leftist spaces, so not so shockingly, I end up having to see people act like women can't be oppressors because they're talking about this oversimplistic "women vs. men" dynamic rather than capturing the whole scope of how people can oppress others.
Same thing goes for queer people, and yes, even POC. In fact, as a Black queer person, I've experienced queerphobia from Black cishet people and racism from white queer people. Some of these people exploit their marginalized identities as "special passes" for them to be a bigot, such as the pinkwashed racism of, "WhITe PEople aRE MOrE LIkEly tO sUpPort thE LGbtq+ ComMUnity!" and "The west IS reAlLy gAy-frIeNdLy whEreAS aFRIca aND ThE middlE EaST aRE just tRemeNdoUsLy hOMOpHobic!"
I keep hearing libs say the left there alienates itself and doesn't expand its umbrella. Whenever I see talks on what to compromise on its crickets..... Throw latinos under the bus....Or some trans genocide as a treat. Yeah shit is cooked
I wish liberals would reach across the aisle and compromise with the left on some issues. It seems like they only do it for conservatives or even worse people. How about fixing homelessness? No? Been telling my sibling about this site specifically this mega as a good place they can rant or talk about stuff. Was waiting a bit for the site domain stuff to clear up but gonna help them make an account to talk to some peeps, we usually hang and shoot the shit but I'm not as eloquent so sometimes words don't come out so good irl.
The Ukraine war narrative reminds me too much of the Guatemalan civil war. The country is thrown into a hellhole, corrupt leaders are treated as celebrated heroes when most of the population can’t stand them, and then the NATO countries take all the resources after getting what they want politically. I’m glad it ended when it did because if it happened today I can guarantee there would be Guatemalans all over social media talking about how the peasants had to be massacred to save the country.
