Who was the biggest Karen you have encountered in Public?
  • Not that it would justify it at all, but was he Australian? I like to imagine this bewildered a-hole getting increasingly pissed at what he perceives as a transgression of social boundaries by every Australian he meets on his holiday.

  • Do I need Windows for Pirated Games?

I currently have a load of pirated games and I'm considering moving my systems to Linux cuz Windows is ass. Would this make it difficult to run pirated games?

  • Omg, when I saw that thing as the group was going through the cave I knew they were fucked.

Image from Bezerk manga for those who don't know. These kinds of malformed beings are essentially lower demons from the Bezerk's Boschean version of hell. Great manga but deeply fucked up.

  • An open letter to the liberals
  • Right, but is there a longer term goal? Like, I understand not voting for genocide and I respect the immediate goal of non-engagement in that sense. But are you hoping that non-engagement will force the Dems to alter their stance on issues like Israel in the long term?

  • In the last month, Trump, the Muslim ban guy, has been able to credibly position himself as a less Islamophobic candidate, but I guess you weren't paying attention to that. Here is a NYT article that mentions that undecided voters were considering Trump because of the situation in Gaza (archive.is). I'm pretty skeptical that Trump is going to improve the situation but it is so bleak under the Biden administration that I wouldn't be surprised if he did or at least didn't make it worse.

This is literally the only argument you've provided for how Trump could be better. And it's not convincing.

Other thant that, wouldn't it make sense to vote based on platforms? Trans rights was a hot button issue and they could have gotten better protections under Harris. The new home owner bill could have helped middle-income people actually be able to get a home. Trump's VP mentioned gutting ACA. Those are 3 reasons I voted for Harris.

I haven't seen any convincing arguments that Trump will diverge US foreign policy from the support of Palestinian genocide. Nothing you have said gives any indication that this would be the case. So I don't see how not voting for Harris helps the issues you are concerned with.

As such, I have to ask, what's your goal here? Accelerationism?

  • What are some small things that grind your gears?
  • People speaking on their phone using a loudspeaker.

People who don't understand basic elevator etiquette and attempt to walk in before people get off.

People who play Karaoke loud enough for anyone outside of their home to hear.

People who drive two motorbikes / bicycles beside each other and talk, thereby blocking traffic.

    People who cut in line.

People who don't clean up after their pets.

People who get angry at the animals and not the owners for the above.

People who display a total ignorance of the most basic facts regarding other countries.

Dysfunctionally incompetent and/or lazy staff (beyond what is acceptable for low income workers).

Bureaucrats who clearly prioritise covering their ass over performing the most basic functions of their job.

People who are rude/dismissive to others who are smaller/weaker/meeker than them.

    Racist taxi drivers.

    Asshole bus drivers.

People who don't apologise when they are wrong and know it.

I can think of more but I'll stop there.

  • Drag is using a first person pronoun just like you might write "I".

Why does drag refer to drag's self in this way?

Also, drag's name is not Dragon Rider. Unless that drag was referring to drag's chosen name?

    Why Pay A Pentester?
    thehackernews.com Why Pay A Pentester?

Automated penetration testing disrupts cybersecurity by offering faster, cheaper, and broader testing coverage.

    Why Pay A Pentester?

What do you guys think? I don't think there's a lot of depth to the arguments, myself. It reads more like an threadbare op-ed with a provocative title. But I'd like to hear you opinions on the impact of automated testing solutions on the role of pen-testers in the industry.

    Introduction to List Comprehensions

Brendan Metcalfe's intro series to list comprehensions is one of the best I've come across. In addition to showing how to use them, he compares it to other similar methods and shows why LCs can be more effective. Wanted to share his stuff here.
