Are you not a native English speaker? It's not an uncommon word.
Yeah, but some of that stuff isn't just a spicy pepper. One kid died because of extreme capsaicin revealing a heart issue: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/death-teen-ate-spicy-chip-experts-rethinking-capsaicin-effects-rcna152766
Drop the requirement for new and you can get plenty of good stuff for free.
Danish leader says ‘you cannot spy against an ally’ after reports of US gathering intel on Greenland
This is, of course, nonsense. Allies spy on each other all the time.
You can still run perfectly good software on it. You'll just be limited by the resources, so you're not playing Crysis by any means.
Just a few years ago I got a 286 up and running with Minix. It was neat, but I didn't get as far as compiling the Ethernet driver, so I didn't really do much with it and it eventually finished its journey to recycling.
Yup. Airplanes, for example, take a lot of validation. It's extremely expensive to retest a new configuration, so they make one computer, get it validated, and use it unmodified for the next thirty years.
This is why the Boeing Max 8 thing was a big deal. They made approved modifications, but found in rare conditions it could cause unexpected and dangerous flight conditions. But, a times b times c was estimated to be less than the cost of doing it properly, so they didn't.
And the governor. She's supporting this, for some fucking reason (jk, it's because she's a conservative democrat).

Actual research positions only, it looks like.
Specifically, a bcrypt hash with the cost set to 10, i.e. 32,768 iterations of hashing. If you are choosing an algorithm, consider Argon2id.
I'd like to highlight this image of ICE agents looking almost exactly like narco gang members. Even the Nazis showed their faces.

Putin has been waging cyber warfare against NATO for years. Would a bear shit in the woods?
This is exactly it. They're specifically targeting people they know can't or won't fight back, like literal kids with cancer.

The Sun is an actively terrible rag, and the Telegraph is right-wing. Anything named "the liberty beacon" is automatically under suspicion.
The Independent is a bit conservative but generally reliable, and I'm not familiar with the Sun Times.
Obviously the story has a factual basis, but I just want to see more reliable outlets reporting on it.
You're right, we should change that too. Imprisoning a drunk driver for longer doesn't fix anything. Mandate treatment, put a breathalyzer in their car, or revoke their license and give them probation. If they violate probation, then imprison them until they are rehabilitated.
I would ask for any kind of source on that, instead of just repeating it like an urban legend. That's probably why they didn't include it in the article.
You mean the content pane? Dolphin should also have this at Settings → Detail view → Expandable folders, though I don't know if what I'm looking at is old. I don't have a KDE system handy.
Clean drinking water, of course, is not something you can choose to be without, so maybe not the best example. Also, fuck Nestle.
It's designed for container orchestration, I think. I tried setting up a regular VM and it wasn't smooth.
The nag screen only happens without a subscription.
I'm pretty sure the no-subscription repo can be enabled with a few clicks in the UI. I haven't experienced any issues with updates.
I haven't seen it misconfigure Ubuntu VMs either, but maybe I haven't tried one.
All in all, if those are your only complaints, it sounds pretty solid to me.
