I hope things turn around.
The point is there are those who, like myself and others, who requested account deletions on kbin.social. And they have not been processed. Over a period of time those numbers add up. Then you have whole instances that moved (kbin.earth etc)
I'm not sure of the accuracy of the user count for kbin, because account deletion requests, at least for kbin.social, are not being processed. <edited>
I reread the article again. I did see anything mentioned about employees working 2nd jobs on company time, nor was it among the reasons they were fired.
This is why we can't have nice things... s/
I’m so glad to hear this! <edited>
Good choice!
I'm enjoying Thunder as well.
So true about Eternity nightly. No changes have been made in quite a while.
I don't think I’m looking in the same location you are. here I’m not a coding pro by any means but I'm seeing the list of commits through 5/26/2024 that have been included in the nightly versions. Although the releases (nightly) may be automated, they do seem to include feature and functionality updates, as well as bug fixes. I hope the dev continues this trend.
I sure hope so. I'm tired of the monopoly ISP's have for internet service.
Try Thunder Nightly. The pre-release versions come out frequently, about every couple of weeks. You can find them here: https://github.com/thunder-app/thunder/releases/tag/0.4.0-5

Heat tracking software? Damn, that's creepy as hell.
But that face is just so hard to say 'no' to. 💕
This series was well done! Exceptional acting, special effects, use of Japanese/English dialog, show of Japanese traditions and filming locations brought the book to life in a way that far eclipsed the 1980 miniseries.

This is too good.
Why is the NY Times tap dancing around this? It. was. a. lie.
I agree with OP's comments but the article, not so much. Like OP the Gen Xers I know that are close to retirement with their financial ducks in a row do not prefer to be in the office. Being irreplaceable means you have the leverage to successfully negotiate a WFH arrangement.
Job tenure has also increased, and employee satisfaction is up.

It's great to see Yelp buck the RTO trend. It seems they believe what's best for their employees is also benefit to the company. I wish others would do the same.
Elon Musk once scoffed at the notion that BYD could compete with his company. Now, the automaker run by billionaire Wang Chuanfu is poised to be the new No. 1 in electric vehicles.

I wondered how long this would take, and now we know.
