yes its getting annoying
all of those women were scared walking to their cars that evening. most people in customer service has been or knows someone who has been stalked/harassed by a customer.
all service workers should have guns and be able to shoot anyone who ask them out on the spot.
truecrime brain
great job!!
god i have seen what you have done for others
it would be cool to see it turned into something useful.
YES! me and my partner love it. rekha is the best audience member and my favorite presentation was the one about how we should bring back swing music.
Cool 👍🏽
That’s fair, also, that means you had the correct definition in mind already so that’s good actually!
Oh yeah, I edited that out because I figured crackers might get upset. But yeah, The suburbs are like a freaky alternate dimension.
You may also like to know that the above definition is the appropriateated one. Pick me originally had nothing to do with Marginalized people. It was exclusively a term for women who enjoyed shitting on other women in a public setting, because she thought it would make her more attractive to men. For example, a woman who constantly talks about how She shaves every single day because body hair is absolutely horrible and disgusting, Like constantly and only in front of men. That’s a pick me. And then white people decided to steal the word and make it about marginalized groups. It’s really not that deep. It’s just about annoying girls in your friend group. Obviously definitions and words can change and grow, but it’s extremely annoying to see people shit on a word that’s been stolen from Black people And then actively offer the incorrect annoying definition to people Actively furthering the problem. It’s just so brazenly ignorant. If you don’t like using a term, you don’t actually have to use it.
Thank you for explaining to them. I assumed it would be obvious which word I was referring to and why, if not by knowing pick mes origin but at the very least context clues. Also, that is not the correct definition of pick me. That is the appropriated definition. Regardless, it’s extremely ignorant to call it a stupid term when you don’t even know what the word means.
No, It’s the exact same, same as when people complain about the word woke on here.
No one is making you use aave if you hate it.
there is no place online without young and vulnerable people that is also anonymous. only solution is irl communities sadly.
They did!!! And then I would see my face and cry more, then they would tell me to stop feeling sorry for myself. Another funny thing about the spankings were that if I managed to not cry at all, that means they didn’t hit me hard enough and had to hit me again, even harder. It’s all about crying the perfect amount.
i want to bring him flowers one day

"Fix your face before i give you something to cry about" was something I heard many times.

because i grew up listening to taylor swift. i was only allowed to listen to christian music and pre approved music and taylor made the cut. i was never a huge fan till high school came around and i was determined to make friends. i listened to as much popular music as I could, the more popular the songs the more i would need to know them to socialize. knowing stuff about taylor swift was an easy way to have something to talk about with many people, because of how many people had an opinion on her. the first best friend i ever had was a huge swiftie so i suddenly i was being forced to listen to all of her albums and to make taylor swift playlist about fictional characters in the books we wrote. it was fun. one of my friends made it her whole personality and was a true stan. she loved taylor because her songs comforted her after her sexual assault. when taylor sued the guy who assaulted her and won it was like... a win for my friend, when taylor talked about her eating disorder it meant a lot to all of us. they were also hardcore gaylors haha, like they thought she was "already out" fucking wild haha. when folklore came out i was blown away and then she did it again with evermore. mature beautiful songs that made me bawl my eyes out. a little after that i started to be a bigger fan and was on gaylor tic tok lol. the songs were only getting gayer! then i lost my old friend group over a falling out. midnights came out is it suuuuuuucked its her worst album hands down and was such a disappointment. also i went down a rabbit hole learning about all the racist, anti semetic, predatory things and just shitty she has done and it really killed the music for me for a bit. oblivious i should assume all rich white women are racist but the suing the black blogger thing was... fucking disgusting.
so thats where im at i still have many fond memories of her music they remind me of both good and bad times and she has more than a few bops. a while ago i decided to separate the art from the artist and simply pirate everything. but then i saw this comm get made and though how fun! i can chat about taylors music with people who arent gonna defend the racist shit shes done and wont be misogynistic in their critiques and its gaylor friendly (i have a lot of thoughts but i digress) . I dont have friend that like her music anymore (I dont have anymore close white friends haha) sadly hexbear is probably not the place for this.
but this is all mostly to clarify my position for @wtypstanaccount04@hexbear.net because i was too sleepy to type this all up last night.
mine is evermore (the forgotten one) my favorite song is right where you left me it makes me cry everytime, i have a friendship bracelet with RWYLM on it because i told someone it was my favorite.
i would say im a maximum 15 minute drive away from a cow at any given time.
respectfully yall are some of the fiercest bravest people in the world and ive never been to a leftist event without yall, and theres been a lot of seriously antisemitic shit online so i just want to say I love you.

This chapter is by far my favorite and the most interesting chapter. It is very much detached from the rest of the work, so if you are not caught up with the reading feel free to skip ahead to this one. Once again, I will be leaving the discussion open. Feel free to highlight your favorite parts, ask questions, put in your favorite questions. Try to respond to one other person's comment. Great work comrades for everyone who has completed the reading and keep it going to everyone getting caught up!

its been a fun ride yall and I will eventually responed to every comment, its been a long week and im getting drunk tonight.
people are saying such shitty things about me. ill probably delete this, but can some of my comrades just give me a pep talk if your up to in. I know logically I love this place and this is a bad day, but I cant stop crying, i do so much work going out, doing mutual aid, supporting union drives, working with the dsa and psl ect and it doesn't fucking matter because as soon as I vent about the class of people who are giving me a hard time IM somehow stopping racial solidarity from happening. it hurts so bad and makes everything feel so pointless. i feel so disposable. im not gonna debate anyone i just want to chat with nice comrades who care. im actually crying hard over internet shit maybe its my sign to leave.
edit: THANK YOU for the out pouring of love comrade, here, in my dms, and on cytube. I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH. I will be staying. I will be taking a break after this sundays fanon post (its the last one and BEST chapter hope i can see you there) but I shall return even more powerful than before. you guys are amazing thank you again to everyone committed to making this a safe space for BIPOC people to express themselves.

We are continuing from last week with no discussion questions this week to try to encourage a more natural dialogue. Just talk about what you liked, didn't like, didn't understand. Try to respond to one other person's comment even if it is just something short or to ask a question.
