Then use another PeerTube provider, if you donโt like the domain name.
Itโs already a PeerTube link.

Best you can do is ask the channels you follow, to also post on PeerTube.
Awesome!
Is this RAM actually produced in Europe?
I just heard about them in another post here and just signed up for the free account, to test them out.
So far Iโm really impressed. They have an app for Linux, you can mount it as a drive and it even has CLI for using it with a server.
The 100GB lifetime for 30โฌ is very interesting. You can even buy it multiple times, so they stack.
Isnโt that fair? They tell you exactly what the star is based on.
How would you do it with a product with multiple ingredients from a cross the world?
Check out the two pinned posts at !peertube@lemmy.wtf. One is for selecting the right instance (platform) and the other is to find some interesting channels to follow.
So I canโt type in a domain manually?
I can also enter the instance name myself on that screen and then it checks if itโs a Lemmy server, right?
So if there was a โlogin with usernameโ, you would type your username@instance, then Voyager would check the domain and show the next page you are talking about, with a pre-filled username.
If I typed the wrong domain here and it turned out itโs a malicious server pretending to be a Lemmy server, then what happens?
Also, wouldnโt it be highly unlikely that the users email domain is malicious?
Itโs true you can login with your email, instead of your username. But what I am saying is, in Voyager, it should only ask for your username+instance (meldrik@lemmy.wtf).
If I by mistake type my email: meldrik@protonmail.com it will obviously fail, right? Because thereโs no Lemmy server at that domain.
You already validate Lemmy servers in Voyager, right? So if โMeldrik@lemmy.wtfโ doesnโt match a Lemmy server, an error would show.
It doesnโt matter if thereโs an email server or not.
I am not logging in with the credentials โmeldrik@lemmy.wtfโ. I am telling Voyager that I want to log into โLemmy.wtfโ with my user โMeldrikโ. Before I type a password, the app will check if โLemmy.wtfโ exists and maybe even check if there is in fact a user named โMeldrikโ. If all are true, then it will ask for password.
Something like that. I donโt know how Voyager works ๐
You would only be able to login this way with your username. If you by mistake use your email, then it simply doesnโt resolve to a Lemmy server and the login fails.
Meldrik@notlemmyserver.com would simply fail, because that Lemmy instance does not exist.
Really cool work.
Exactly.
Some instance names can be a bit tricky to type, like sh.itjust.works, so an autocomplete would be a huge help.
I suggest taking a look at the pinned post at !peertube@lemmy.wtf about choosing a platform to register on.

People shouldnโt even have to choose their instance. People should type their full username.
Fx: meldrik@lemmy.wtf should be enough and then their password.
