  • Who cares about the GOTY?

    I'd say Chinese people don't.

  • Except that such an extra step is way better in quality and streaming speeds, compared to streaming sites, if you care about this or 1080p/4K high bitrate media.

As a matter of fact, since you can stream and also download torrents with a debrid service, I'd say paying a cheap seedbox (debrid services are cheap as well) is torrenting with extra steps... Without the ability to stream.

  • I'd have preferred to have 7 Dwayne Johnson Oompa Loomped instead of this monstrosity...

(Why Dwayne Johnson? Because Peter Dinklage statements).

  • I am afraid to try this title... I don't really need a backlog distraction right now... 😅

  • I miss the convenience.

I busted off my convenience for a little bit when setting up Plex + Riven + Zurg (the same could be said about my Arr stack) after that huge learning curve it is all about convenience baby, I get all my stuff in all my devices with one single account, keep the progress of the full library even pair it up with services such as Trakt, and I can even share the love.

  • I am gonna give you a couple answers for that based on what I have read in other places such as Reddit, perhaps OP does not agree with them.

    1. RD or debrid services in general are paid services and it goes against their piracy beliefs (This is the silliest thing I could ever read... It only makes sense if you don't care for quality and/or you haven't tried a debrid service in your life).
    2. Streaming torrents even paired with debrid services or VPNs (not needed when using a debrid service, or in some countries for bare torrenting) is more cumbersome than just using a website (even in this day and age when Stremio exists), which I kinda agree with them... But you get what you pay for... Am I right?
    3. They just don't have a clue of what a debrid service is.

  • Although, I'd rather live quietly in one of the side villages.

Yeah, who wouldn't be able to do their chores with magic, or having unlimited housing capabilities with it!

  • I guess you are right, I am not a PC gamer, but heck I want to be... Good to have this in mind though... I suppose the saving features of the current games help for this situation.

  • Yeah, I find it interesting too...

PSP and Vita handheld this feature better than DS and 3DS yeah, regardless it was a more than welcome future :p

I kinda remember it was a feature in the PS3 too? But you might be right about Xbox One and PS4... Because I remember being lazy turning on my PS3 and knowing it didn't have many background tasks (like downloading updates and such).

Now that I think about it, some Chinese handhelds (like the Miyoo Mini which uses Linux) do not have the suspend feature (like android handhelds) we are talking about, the workaround for that one is nice though, it actually creates a save state then it turns off the screen and audio for several minutes, then it eventually powers off and when you turn it on it loads again the last game played and quick loads the save state (with Onion OS). I don't expect something like that coming for PC games, but heck, something must be done lol.

  • Does Kanto count?

If not... Howarts from the Harry Potter PS1 game...

If not... The locations of Toy Story PS1 game...

(As you can see I am rummaging through my childhood memories).

  • As a console/handheld gamer I am not impressed by said feature.... But would you care to explain why it does not work on a PC!?

  • I use Torrent daily, I basically never stop seeding what I download to my Plex Server and I also use a Real Debrid account, which essentially caches the torrents to their servers for us to stream through different methods (like Kodi, Stremio, or more recently for me Plex thanks to Riven/Zurg).

  • Yeah exactly, I have no language issues while using Lemmy clients.

  • What really kills my engagement with Mastodon (aside for never being a regular Twitter user) is that posts in undesired languages still filter in my feed (I follow hashtags) even when I set up only two languages... Not everyone is filtering theirs I guess...

  • Or they just want to watch it the second it becomes available.

Yeah, my Radarr takes care of this... I still want to go to the cinema to watch it though.

  • To add to this list, watching media (especially anime) subbed, all I do is read!

  • I'd do this, but even when I understand English fairly well, it is not my native language, and I have found many books not being available in Spanish (Latin Spanish preferred)... Also I think my brain can't really multitask... I often struggle to understand podcasts (mostly in English, but sometimes Spanish too) while driving 🤣

I can't allow myself to disassociate with audiobooks.

  • What the hell, I had no idea such a tool existed... I do not intend to use it... But it is so cool regardless.

  • This is a totally reasonable request yup.

  • What games accomplish that?

Aside from indies or 2D games I guess.
