Libertarians brainstorm a private FD
Best part is how some of the threads circle back to having taxes (with extra steps of course)
Booooom
Read her vagina the bible because she is about to get an exorcism lol .
For sure. Tho I am from Texas so most of the Libertarians I learned about were more of the Right Libertarians. Typically some kind of anarcho capitalist. Which has all of the unsavory aspects of not helping anyone and strange "honor" system that no one is going to swoop in and dominate to rebuild our current system (because why would you not)
I had a bit of a libertarian phase. It really did just take a moment to really think about the ideas and realize how silly they ultimately are. It does not help that even at their best their outcomes favor the wealthy.
That doesn't feel that expensive, but I also don't smoke. I guess if you are doing a pack a day it will be bleeding your wallet pretty good.
That always makes the captchas tricky.
I wish I had seen this thread earlier to show more people this discussion on private firefighter s.
Not full maga, but not good trend. Its a rather unforced error.
And just like that, Intel is the best in the game again /s
How do you send email tho? Its my understanding that hosting is easy, but major providers will assume you are spam and block? Or do you just receive?
I have been de-googling for a while and proton was next on my list
If the sun accepted your prayer as worthy you would be spared.
This guy gets it!
The one bender goes wood?
So why did we stop worshiping the sun?
This is what is wrong with modern society. I take a train downtown and no inner city kid is worshiping the sun. Our leaders no longer cut out the hearts of their enemies as tribute.
Finding new neat things is what I like about threads like these.
Professor Farnsworth
Brb going to read it
The whole master-apprentice thing is not really found in America anymore. It is lowkey there in academia, but there is so much admin work that even good PIs struggle. I have not really seen it in my little private industry experience. And I have no public experience to comment.
Selfhosted Journal
So I have been selfhosting my calendar and todo list on a local server for sometime now. I use thuunderbird's tasks on my laptop and jtx board on my phone.
I see that jtx board has a journaling feature. It looks like maybe it is just for notes rather than a place to write self reflections. Is there something similar to this app in self hosting with a mobile and desktop component?

On todo lists
I have a bit of a curiosity. I run a local nextcloud where I am doing my calendar and todo lists with the default nextcloud apps respectively. I have my thunderbird on my laptop and jtx broad on my phone to sync with it. I noticed once when making a todo item over the webclient directly on the nextcloud that they do not support (I searched and found there isn't just a hidden setting).
I have not had any issues so far making recurring tasks with the clients. I am just curious if the community knows of any pitfalls that are not obvious that might cause a task to be lost or something.

UHC made a health insurance pitch to my job site.
So UHC came to my job to pitch their plans for the employer health insurance. They wanted something like $1400/mo and I guess enough people complained because a new email just came up for $1000/mo.

My MC is squeaky
Hi
I have noticed that my MC makes a squeaky sound when I am slowing down around 20mph. I think it might be the wheels, but I am not sure. Does anyone know what I should look at to investigate further or what is a known grease this bit?

Do people use Cargo?
I really like the idea of a package/dependency manager. It just seems that when ever I am reading a tutorial and they want to import something that is not standard they say write this in to your TOMOL not cargo install it. Like when reading python docs they all say to use pip or something. Sorry it just seems that Cargo is somewhat overlooked or is it just my perception?
shavette razor - some thoughts
So I typically shave with a safety as they are easy to use and cheap on the blades. I decided to try a shavette razor the last few weeks. I have since gotten the hang of it, but it does feel way more awkward and not a whole lot better, as such it takes far longer to use. Tho the shave is still rather good.
