  • It's not actually being solved, an imitation of a solution is being presented. Kids using AI sludge is the same as if their parents did all their work for them. Changing the coursework to ensure their parents or machine sludge aren't doing it for them is going to turn schoolwork more and more into multiple choice exams with linear thinking.

  • I'll watch it and let you know if it's safe-viewing.

  • Literally just walk to the other room in the house, dipshit. The thing you want's right here on a HDD. Don't need to send it to Google and then back to you.

  • Boomers in my life are asking I e-mail everything to them: music, ebooks, manuals, etc. because they refuse to learn how to physically transfer a file. It's so annoying.

  • I lost $12 on a bad Nintendo DS battery and I'm annoyed as fuck about that right now.

  • Yeah, that sucks. I do this all the time. I'm so hyper-fixated on saving money right now that something like this, which shouldn't be a big deal, feels like a major personal mistake. If you're like me, at least in a week or two you'll be less and less bothered by it.

  • Is there a certain segment of society that this applies to or is it widespread throughout? Because there must be some people who know this is bad right?

  • Might not be available on my phone/region. I search "government alert" and it takes me to Notifications but I can't see any option there for it.

  • Hasan screaming at chat, asking if he needs to take the red pill or the blue pill to disarm the content nuke.

  • Having to speak in coded language about basically every topic is starting to get really mentally burdensome. Marxism is great for becoming a moral agent and being conscious of yourself and the world, but it's extremely lonely when you can see what the problem someone has and can't guide them to the truth because they'll either ignore you, misunderstand the point or superficially pretend to understand it, or attack you in some form.

  • I didn't like it because it's reformist and bourgeois in nature. The entire thing is taking a legitimate problem and then only restating over and over it's a problem and then rhetorically redirecting people's thoughts and energy into dead ends like vague-awareness, electoralism, and regulation (from unwilling governments).

  • Also, it's literally the sister's words next to a barely animated image of him. They couldn't just bring in a male family member to read this statement next to a big photo of him in court?

  • Pelkey’s sister and brother-in-law used the technology to recreate his image and voice likeness to “talk” to the courtroom about his life and the day he met Gabriel Paul Horcasitas, who shot him during a confrontation near Gilbert and Germann roads.

Stacey Wales, Pelkey's sister, said everyone who knew Pelkey "agreed this capture was a true representation of the spirit and soul of how Chris would have thought about his own sentencing as a murder victim."

Pelkey’s family sought justice and found some peace in the process, especially seeing how one of Stacey’s children reacted to seeing their Uncle Chris one more time.

”'Mom and Dad, thank you so much for making that. I needed to hear from Uncle Chris one last time. And that meant so much, thank you.' That is not what this is intended to do. The result of it having it be a healing piece for anybody who saw it was just a beneficial result,” said Stacey.

Your family doesn't love you and society is fine delighting in the presence of a computer wearing your skin as a replacement.

  • Meanwhile your dad would be like "I don't approve of the police killing my son, but violence is never the answer (unless it's against my son by a cop)".

  • I have long hair and I have a denim jacket with metal/punk patches and I do wear generally colourful clothes and t-shirts and stuff.

We see and talk pretty regularly. She definitely doesn't hate me, but also since she didn't elaborate beyond this or say "he's into metal/punk" or anything it's weird to just say this and then not elaborate.

She also calls implies I'm overweight it sometimes and it annoys me, which I feel like is maybe part of this but IDK. She also generally does that thing of totally stonewalling me/family if anything stressful comes up so if I ask I have a feeling she'd just ignore it.
