I like Sanders, but let's unpack the headline here:

3,500 is not a crowd, and if you have to turn 500 people away because it exceeds the venue's capacity, it's not that "drawing capacity" is impressive so much that the venue's capacity is underwhelming.

So, just do like I did last time I had to shift a lot of money under my bank's radar: do it slowly in small chunks.

So that contractor that bills $10m can be paid in two hundred $50k installments to fly under the centibillionaire's radar.

My ambition is to do right by my family, my friends and my community, work and live decently and going to my grave being reasonably proud of the life I lead.

If you mean ambition as in rising in the ranks of an organization and earning more money, yes, I believe the higher / richer you go, the worse human being you are, for one simple reason: to rise to the top in our society, you have to trample someone further down, and decent human beings don't do that. And if you want to rise without doing that, someone will trample you and beat you to the top.

In society the way it's structured, I believe the more "successful" you are, the more despicable you probably are too.

It's factually true. But if it worked, we would know by now and obesity would be uncommon.

That's the thing: I don't think a lot of the people who helped voting Trump in are actually bigots or racist, just misinformed naive fools. The harsh realities of life under Trump will quickly suss them out of their naivete.

At least this once: you can't fix stupid and they'll do it again next time someone tells them something they want to hear.
