  • I can't wrap my head around how people can ignore all those red flags. 2-3 days ago I just got a text from a random number about some parking fine. Not just that, but it said that that day was the last day I could get a 50% DISCOUNT on the fine. A fucking DISCOUNT! What's next? I can use my Nectar card? Do I get a loyalty card with a stamp on it? But it's not even the fact that I wasn't contacted by mail, or there was no other contact given; I don't even have a fucking car. Or a driving license in this country.

  • What’s the worst date you’ve ever had, and why was it so awful?
  • The guy is so bad I assume he is that guy of Newcastle. There must be other that guys in other cities - who knows, maybe several; but I would bet at least 15 pence (probably even 20) that if it's Newcastle then it's this guy.

  • EU recommends outdoor ban on cigarettes, e-cigarettes and heated tobacco.
  • This reminds me a little bit of judging any kind of social (or ethnic?) group by the loudest ones. You don't see the decent ones not leaving cig butts. On the other hand, maybe it doesn't even matter if there are people who still leave them.

But similarly to the prohibition era, I don't think this will make smokers quit; this will just push the users to smoke/litter in less controlled areas. I hope I'm wrong.

  • EU recommends outdoor ban on cigarettes, e-cigarettes and heated tobacco.
  • I'm not sure how I feel about this, and I'm a non-smoker who hates cigarette (well, any kind of) smoke, and despite getting permanently nose-hit by CoVid, I can still smell cigarette smoke from miles away.

As much as it sounds lovely at first, this is restricting smokers way too much. If, as a European you find it ridiculous that you have to hide your alcohol bottle/flask/can with a paper bag in public in parts of the US, then this is even more restrictive. Apart from the dismissive answers to the question "Where should I smoke now", the only typical answer is "at home". Now, if these smokers live together with non-smokers then this is either forcing them to smoke under their nose or find the nearest place where it is allowed (good luck).

On the other hand, fuck yes. It is forbidden in bus/metro stops where I live, but not in the narrow, enclosed passageway leading out of the stop. Therefore, smokers get out of the train, start smoking as soon as they leave the stop (to be honest: right in the stop), and the two slow walkers right in front of me prevent me from overtaking, and the same is true behind me - so I have to inhale that shit while we walk along that long passageway. And not like it was much different on a busy pavement, in outside seating, etc.

  • What’s your “I can’t believe other people don’t do this” hack?
  • You can tell them you're not wasting any of it because eventually it will be used, none of it will get spoiled and people tend to actually need that bog roll within a week or two. Also, it's a ONE time "double" buy, because from then on you buy everything once just the same; you just make sure you don't end up spending even MORE when you run out of the 24 roll TP bag and have to quickly buy a less eco 6-pack.

  • What’s your “I can’t believe other people don’t do this” hack?
  • Buying another box, bag, etc. of soap, toilet paper, tooth paste and whatever long lasting product before it runs out. It doesn't expire (fast), therefore I always have a second, full bag as a buffer, and as soon as I have to open the second one, I put it on the shopping list so there is always a buffer bag and I don't get annoyed if I still forget to buy one or it's out of stock.

It's been years since I had to use some weird substitute for toilet paper.

People who press the button at the pedestrian crossing and then cross anyway right after: how do you think the 1997 Kyoto protocol affected the industrial economics of the late 2010's?

On a slightly more serious note: I really wonder what's going on in your mind when you press that button and cross anyway. Is it just because "I don't care", or is there more to it? If so: what?

EDIT: In case it's because you don't care: why do you press the button then?

Wise experts of League client: HOW the hell do I make that TFT yellow dot go away?

(No, I don't want to turn off ALL yellow dot notifications; ONLY the TFT one)

EVERY SINGLE TIME I launch the client, there is a yellow dot on the TFT tab. I check every item I can claim: they have been claimed already. I have clicked through all those childish conversations that you can have with champions. I have even checked my inventory. I am NOT going to buy the pass.

Still, after I close the client, EVERY SINGLE TIME there is a yellow dot on the TFT tab and it's driving me insane.

Where can I finally claim that hidden thing? What do I need to do to make it go away?

2/3 of our champ1 MMR matches have a GC in the opposing team. Not just 1 or 2; consistently. What happened?

So the 2 guys I usually play with are champ2 and dia3-champ1 level. I'm also champ1. NONE of us were ever in GC, not for a single match. We play 2v2s and 3v3s, depending on who's available.

This season we got absurd amount of GCs in our matches. Both 2v2 and 3v3, but 3v3 seemed even more infested with GC titles. Interestingly, whenever they actually say something about their rank, they say they are GCs in another game mode, or that they played a long time ago. But most of them still do stuff that we have never been able to, and the rest is just as bad as us, or even worse (which isn't too rare). But this many "GC in another mode" players, suddenly, out of thin air?

    What happened suddenly?

Before this season, seeing a GC title in our games was definitely a rarity. We saw ~2-3 every season, and that was pretty much it. Whenever we ran into one before, they actually played like a GC and they hard carried their suspiciously clueless teammates. This season GC matches are more abundant than the ones without.

Is it because the player numbers are falling so hard that Psyonix resorted to widening the matchmaking search, allowing significantly better (or worse) players to match against us, just to keep the waiting times low? Now that I think of it, as many GCs we get against us, we definitely don't see just as many clueless opponents. If it's not the waiting time, then why did matchmaking change so drastically? Is it boosting? Because that didn't just happen overnight between the two seasons.

    What do you think?

EDIT: People starting ranked at a lower rank than what they had in the previous season also can't be the reason, since we would also be somewhere in low diamond then; it's the middle of the season, so I doubt THIS many people whould start their freshly deranked season now.
