Ukraine doesn't have the luxury of taking a moral stance right now - your last paragraph is key, to ensure the survival of their nation Zelensky would pay any lip service because it's far less important than stopping the bleeding.
The Global South will hardly believe these guys are honest and deserving of help when they hear this kind of two-standards talk that judges quite differently Israel from the rest.
The Global South matters to Ukraine because of things like sanctions on Russia and not sending Russia the stuff they need to make more weapons.
Zelensky just lost a really good chance at saying nothing at all and staying clean on this instead of wading into the shit and getting covered in it.

A consulate was attacked and no, I have not seen him condemn it. I doubt he will since Iranian weapons and killing Ukrainians.
The real issue is manufacturing those weapons. We have limited capacity to build what he needs and honestly that’s embarrassing as a super power.

Because his name is "Володимир Зеленський", but neither you nor I know how to pronounce that so it is converted to "Volodymyr Zelenskyy" or a slight variation since there isn't a direct translation or there are multiple translations.
