God we really did go a whole decade with antialiasing that looked like this
And it was beautiful
Back then the blurry CRT TV screens did the antialiasing and motion smoothing for free.
It's not like the PS3 and Xbox 360 were that much better to be honest
Sub-720p resolutions + dogshit antialiasing (QAA, FXAA, etc) + dogshit scaling to 1080p == some of the most gross fuckin video output I have ever seen. You get a PS360 game running high res in RPCS3 or Xenia they look great, but like, Sonic Unleashed rocking that 880x720 + FXAA framebuffer
oh fk I'm starting to get nostalgia for shitty 3d graphics with low definition textures
now you understand why valheim took off
It's also just a really great game.
Thanks I enjoyed it
Looks pretty deece for PS2 era
In my restless dreams, I see that town. Silent Hill. You promised me you'd take me there again someday. But because of me, you were never able to.
So pretty
Making a note to write a technical overview of the Emotion Engine for all the PS2/MIPS nerds on here
The PS2 was my first game console. Now I'm crying.
How the times change.
Now let's see that bad boy blown up to 4K in PCSX2 👀
