What actually is so special about Trump besides the fact that he wants to become a dictator, a thing the average Trump supporter doesn't even acknowledge? Most of the other republican candidates believe stuff just as backwards and dangerous as he does.
If you honestly want to know, they are the party that hates the gub'ment. He's not a politician, and they Believe that all their problems are from politicians taking away their freedoms. So when this rich guy says he's going to go in there and drain the swamp, they see him like Braveheart fighting the evil king.
It really is an impressive propaganda victory that they've painted corporations and 'businessmen' as being good and the government and it's administrators as bad all while there's plentiful evidence that the cause of so many worker's plight is their corporate overlords.
