CIA deputy director’s son killed while fighting for Russia in Ukraine, investigation claims

Michael Gloss, 21, was the son of CIA Deputy Director for Digital Innovation Julianne Gallina Gloss, and Iraq war veteran Larry Gloss.

Before arriving in Russia on August 13, 2023, Gloss was travelling around Europe. On his Vkontakte page bio, he wrote: "I ran away from home (and) traveled the world. I hate fascism."

On April 4, 2024, he was killed, likely during a Russian offensive near Bakhmut, however, his burial in the U.S. did not take place until December 2024, Important Stories reports.

What a fuckin weird story, it makes it sound like he was a peace loving hippie who wanted to make the world a better place, then smoked one bong hit too hard and ended up doing a complete 180, joining the fascist fuckheads and died making the world worse off
Unless he visited Russia (stupidly, not the first to do so nor the last), they figured out who his parents were and forced him on the front line somehow? blackmail?
This definitely the most odd story I've read so far
- I know too many peace loving hippies that turned to vote far right after covid.
  I blame internal issues but mainly foreign disinformation campaigns.
  
  My theory is that people who mix psychedelics with social media end up deep in the far-right propaganda engine.
  Not that Elon was ever a good guy, but we can plainly see what Ketamine + Twitter does to a person.

Seems like a massive conflict of interest.

It sound like he was trying to get Russian citizenship through military service. Then they sent him to Bakhmut to die with 100,000 other recruits. Number made up, but probably not that far off.

What a read.
My bet is he got hooked on life wrecking tier drugs and got lured into service by the Russian authorities with the promise of more drugs.
His 180 came way too fast for a simple change of heart.
