No release date...
I am guessing it's a Switch 2 launch title, and we will get date on Switch 2 Direct next week.
It fucking better not be. This game was the whole reason I bought a switch a while back.
It won't be Switch 2 exclusive, since they showed it in Switch-only Direct, but I am guessing it will also have a Switch 2 version, with "enhanced" graphics / performance, and the release date of both versions will be Switch 2 release date.
Kinda like Breath of the Wild.
Yeah, I wasn't too impressed with the graphics. Maybe they'll show an "enhanced" version on the Switch 2 Direct.
Same… not trying to be too critical too soon, but I was kinda underwhelmed (especially given this game’s development history)
Yeah. fingers crossed
Samus gets psychic powers
I don't know... that seems kinda out of place.
You can bend your shots freely
Nevermind, I'll take two!
I was thinking the same thing at first. That bending shots mechanic is gonna be really cool for puzzle solving.
People stating it will be on Switch 2: I suspect it wont, let me explain.
They will certainly release it on Switch 1 as they promise MP4 on Switch 1, but they didn’t announce a Switch 2 version. My guesse is if they also announce a enhanced version for Switch 2 after the release, it could offends players that will have the feeling of buying it twice.
I suspect Nintendo don’t want to puts players in this situation.
So if the game is released before the Switch 2 version, I suspect it will not be released on Switch 2 or not be release as an enhanced version.
They didn't care about what people who bought the Wii U copies of games felt. Almost every major wii u title became a Switch title instead.
Needless to say, when my friends started hitting me up to play Mario kart 8, I was very pissed that i had to explain to them that they couldn't play with me because i already had it in its original format and they didn't. I had to go rebuy it for switch later down the road.
I'd like to use this moment to say, the Wii U was one of my favorite consoles. The few games that REALLY utilized the second screen were incredible. The social aspect was one of the best, if not, THE BEST I've ever seen. Felt like such a slap in the face to see all the relaunches on the switch. I still have not purchased any re-release, except for Mariokart for tournament reasons.
