- There should really be a way for a party or it's base to initiate a recall election. We've had some recent cases of Republicans trying to recall Democrats. It should be for "buyers remorse" and not "we want a do-over".
  
  If there was a recall mechanism, I think it would be unreasonable to restrict it to just the party of the candidate

  Theres no way for the US to recall federal representatives. Some states allow recalls of state level reps, but none of the federal ones can be recalled legally.
