President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, during a closed-door meeting on Wednesday, rejected an offer by the Trump administration to relinquish half of the country’s mineral resources in exchange for U.S. support, according to five people briefed on the proposal or with direct knowledge of the talks.

Asking someone for their stuff while holding a knife behind your back. Great move Agent Orange, so smart. Good thing Zelensky has a spine while some other European leaders bend over backwards for this fascist prick.
- Zelensky wasn't intimidated by Putin when all seemed lost. Why would he bend for Putin-lite?
- That was just the insincere offer of assistance before he turns on Ukraine more completely.
  Europe will need to step up and Ukraine will need all the individual donations it can get.

as a Ukrainian I am deeply happy that he refused the deal.

- Because that’s what republicans want. They do not have empathy and do nothing out of altruism.

After this, what is Trump negotiating about? According to previous statements US is now out and has zero cards to play in this shitshow and Trump will look weak if he now backs down on his threats.

Offer 25% and nukes if your gonna whore out a country get premium.
- 50%, but only when Russia can never even throw a stone at other countries ever again.

So the US wants to take half the minerals in the country so that they can then just give Ukraine to Russia.
