If they did, it would just be because they want to. Based on the success of GTA V's currency, GTA VI could be F2P and still be profitable.
If anything I think they'll keep the games price low, as to get people into online and spend the money there. GTA Online has been a huge cash cow for Rockstar, and I don't have exact numbers but based on this article I would say most of the profit comes from online play. I would guess they'll go with the $60-90-120 model or something similar for different versions, probably with some bonus content for online included with the "ultimate" editions. Only Rockstar and maybe some kid who is hacking them knows for sure though.
Don't forget their parent company, Take Two. They would also know.

They can arise the price to whatever they want; I am now only interested into Indie or "patient gamers" things; between GTA and CoD franchises the AAA gaming looks more like some sort of onlyfans for a very specific group of paying simp.
I would be far less against a price hike on games if they all just charged the base price and that's it (and of course there's an argument for any substantial DLC/expansions). But no, of course there will be multiple editions of the game, plus any number of DLCs which may or may not include any actual gameplay, plus in-game mtx.
Personally, I've yet to spend even $70 on a game, and I plan to keep it that way for the forseeable future.
