Emerson: 41% of Americans under 30 years old think that Luigi Mangione’s assassination of United Healthcare’s CEO was acceptable. 19% of under 30s were neutral, only 40% think negatively of the action
IDK, none of those people would say they found it "completely unacceptable" though. It seems worrying to me that the number of people who find it completely unacceptable outnumber those who find it even somewhat acceptable in every demographic except under 30s.
Some might've tbh. I think the older responders are more likely to think they're supposed to say "bad" too.
Any which way, I'm impressed to see this level of support for a CEO getting assassinated in the streets coming from most housebroken population on earth, especially after weeks of the media doing its best to scold people into thinking it's bad.
In person I’ve openly stated that Luigi is cool and everyone has said that while they agree they tell others he was the villain. They’re afraid of rubbing people the wrong way
I like that the title of the poll article is "Young Voters Diverge from Majority on Crypto, TikTok, and CEO Assassination". The three major issues of our age.

This means the real number is higher. People don't answer these things truthfully when they are about who they vote for, so they will definitely not say their true feelings about a murder.
For each age group there's a minimum ~10% bloc of people who are willing to voice support for the execution of a healthcare CEO over the phone to a polling company.
Was this poll before or after the major news story of a woman going to jail for voicing support for him?
