yiffit is shutting down

Announcing termination and archival of yiffit.net in 2025: we will be gone, but hopefully immortalized. - Pawb.Social

Just thought I would mention over here that Wander just announced the termination/archival of yiffit at the end of the year. I guess this will no longer be my backup account.

If anyone has been struggling to get a verification email:
Please ensure you check your spam folder (We’ve been having some mail delivery issues with AWS)
Send an email to network@pawb.social using the same email you created your account with, and include your username, and we’ll manually approve it in the database
We’re working to figure out what’s going on but it seems to be a mix of issues

Yiffit will also be immortalised in this year's fediverse canvas, and for that I am glad :3
That's too bad to hear; it was nice having the divide between (mostly) SFW content over here and (mostly) NSFW content on yiffit. That said, you're all of course welcome over here. :)
Damn, that's a shame, although not unexpected at this point. I'll post some thoughts about it later over there, but I think I'd like to think forward.
Assuming it's okay with @crashdoom@pawb.social , I'll probably recreate communities from Yiffit over here and post some of the backlog.
Edit: Is email on pawb's side working? Haven't got an account creation email yet.
- look in your Spam folder! For some reason the account creation emails from pawb social always lands in spam folders!

Guess I'll have to move to Pawb. Is there, like, a way to migrate all my posts and shit to a different instance/account or am I just gonna have to start from scratch?
Edit: I guess I tried to make one before but never got the verification email. Not even in my spam folder. I have a saved login and such, but it says my email isn't verified.
- to the best of my knowledge, comment history, post history, saves, messages, ... are not transferable to a new account. The only things that tools transfer is preferences, subscriptions, settings...

Sounds like we here at Pawb should get started on creating equivalents for all relevant yiffit.net communities, stat.

I assume @kolanaki@yiffit.net already knows, but what's gonna happen next? Is he going to migrate his account over here? If he just disappears I think I speak for a majority of Lemmings when I say the platform won't be the same without him.
D'aww, that makes me sad. It was always nice to see a post from yiffit in my feed. But I understand Wander's reason for this decision <3
