So as you know I am Palestinian ,I am from Nablus and I live there ,I have a friend from Gaza who I have known for a year before the war had started .
he was born and raised in Gaza and even lived in Gaza during the war for about 7 months before managing to go to Egypt ,I’ve asked my Friend if he’s okay with this and he has said yes and the mods have approved of my request as well

I know I'm not my government but I want to apologize to him for "my" government for being a bunch of spineless cowards who absolutely know what they are doing and what they are supporting being done in Palestine.
It boils my blood to hear them talk as if it's a war rather than a mass slaughter and to hear them act like "the hostages" (Israelis) are the only ones who matter, as if Israel isn't holding thousands of Palestinians hostage right now and as if all of Gaza and the West Bank aren't held hostage by them as well.
I don't want to say too much but have a family member who is very, very closely connected to the upper ranks in "my" government but I haven't had contact with them for a long time, which is lucky because if I was near this family member and their colleagues I'd spit in their child-murdering faces and tell them that they're lucky that it's the only projectile that I sent towards their heads.
I can't put it into words how much I hate the injustice of the world and that you, your friend, your families and your people are subject to some of the worst of these injustices. I don't have a question, I just want both of you to know that I'm sorry that the world has failed you for over a century and that my heart breaks for all of Palestine.
The people of South Africa stand with you and your friend forever and always, we try our best to help even though we're a poor third world country on the other side of the globe. I hope one day that you can rid yourself of this horrible Israeli apartheid and live in freedom and peace in your own land. It seems impossible, but that's what they said about South Africa in the past.

I would like to ask what the mood is like among Gazans in particular and Palestinians in general. Is there hope for liberation? Are there parts of Palestinian society who doesn't support the resistance but instead believes that more liberal, western approach can solve the conflict?

What is the current food situation like? I know that most of the aid to gaza is blocked, there is little arable land and the sea is largely blocked. I assume that unrwa is playing a major role, but what else are people in gaza doing to survive?
Also, how exactly are people leaving gaza (whenever they do make it out)? Are they being smuggled through the Egyptian border?

Although both our political parties support Israel, polls show that most Americans want to stop. From underneath our government the hearts of the people are with you.

First and foremost I would like to express my deepest and most heartfelt sympathy and solidarity. Not a day has gone by since last year that I didn't feel absolute fury at this atrocity and my so called representatives in government's complicity and that I haven't shed at least a tear for the victims. The depths of this injustice can't be properly put to trial by an earthly power and I wish I believed in a greater punishment for these abhorrent swine. The people in general are aghast if they aren't ignorant or vile. This is being carried out in my name without my consent by consequence of nationality and it sickens me to my absolute core.
As far as questions, what does your friend think is the current best hope for Gaza? In the immediate and if possible also in the broader perspective
I don't know how to formulate this in a way that doesn't sound too lib, but I'm very curious about the opinion of someone that lived through and endured all the shit that israel has thrown at them: imagine the dust has settled, shitheads like Nethanyahu got their rightful bullet, Palestine is free. How do you feel about the idea of the current population of israel keeping on living in Palestine, enjoying the same rights as everyone else there?

I am sorry that your friend and his people have endured so much and I hope he and those dear to him remain safe. Please let us know what would be most directly helpful for him and those around him beyond having a pro-Palestine voice. I would like to direct as much material help to Palestine as I can but this is challenging when the US limits to whom I or my organizations can donate to.
I hope that you and your loved ones remain as safe as possible. I and my organizations help to educate Americans about Palestine and to oppose the Zionist occupiers but I always feel like it is not enough. I hope our organizations and battles will someday be enough.
