Perez..
Not the time to be beaching the car when there are rumors of you being axed mid-season.
14 0 ReplySeemed early to switch to slicks. Don't know who made the decision.

Could it be floor damage for Verstappen?
Edit: Brundle confirms "significant" floor damage
13 0 ReplyThree brits on top of quali for the first time since 1968, and first time in Silverstone ever..
We truly are in a british age of F1
13 0 ReplyOne of them must take the win surely

A Haas out qualifying a Ferrari? Now there's something you don't see every day.
10 0 ReplyBoth ferraris right?
4 0 ReplyHowever you want to cut it. KMag out in Q1,LeClerc in Q2.

Oh boy, Sergio beaches in the gravel
8 0 ReplyPerez is having a horrid season. Parking it in the gravel in Q1 is illustrative for how his season is going.
7 0 ReplyFrom the Monaco curse to now the post-Monaco curse 💀
7 0 ReplyLet's fucking gooo, Williams.
Sargeant is out qualifying Perez.
7 0 ReplySargeant is out qualifying Perez.
Is it just me or is this becoming a weekly thing now
8 0 ReplyHe is more often in front of perez than in front of albon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
4 0 ReplyClever move by Perez. He figured most were going to out qualify him either way, so he placed the car in the gravel trap early to save the engine. /s

Three Brits at the top right now.
Considering the floor damage, Max is still doing pretty well.
Hulk also doing great.
6 0 ReplyThat was unexpected
6 0 ReplyCrofty going wild!
6 0 ReplyThis is like a wet dream come true for him

Do sky have special sources from the teams¿? The f1tv commentary still aren't confirming that max has damage. How are sky so sure¿?
5 0 ReplyThere was a clear camera shot of a chip missing from the front of one of the fins on the underside of the floor.
5 0 ReplyJournalists are in Whatsapp broadcast groups handled by the teams. RBR press officer sent a message into his group confirming the floor damage.
Not just a Sky thing, quite a few F1 journos are in those groups.
4 0 ReplyWeird then that this did not reach the f1tv commentary team.

Damn everybody at red Bull must have had a heart attack for a moment or two
5 0 ReplyOof, comparing track dominance between Leclerc and Stroll...
4 0 ReplyWow. That was good.
4 0 ReplyPerez and Ricciardo with the same mistake in the same corner lol (Ricciardo was mucky enough not to beach himself)
4 0 ReplyAnd now Max too, something with the RB(R)s in that corner

Is Redbull allowed repair (replace) the floor before the race?
4 0 ReplyI think you're allowed to repair/swap components as long as they're identical spec. No setup changes, but they should be able to put in a new one.
9 0 ReplyI think that is all at the stewards discretion.
1 2 Reply
Short answer is yes, with identical parts otherwise it's a grid drop or pitlane start depending on what is changed and why.
7 0 ReplyI think that still needs approval of the stewards.
1 2 Reply
That will certainly be breaking parc ferme.
1 1 ReplyNo, they have 3,5 hours to repair it.
After the qualifying session ends on Saturday night, there will be a period of three and a half hours when the team are allowed to inspect, repair, and ensure that the racing cars are prepared for the upcoming race.
4 0 ReplyNo, actually. After the post-qualification inspections, teams can replace damaged parts like-for-like with parts that are undamaged.
4 0 ReplyNo you can replace a damaged part as long the replacement part is the exact same spec
4 0 ReplyDamage is often allowed to be repaired without breaking parc ferme. I just don't know the limits.

Well now both Red Bull drivers have gone through the gravel. At least Max got back on the track
3 0 ReplyDid Aston bring any downgrades for this weekend ?
3 0 ReplyThey brought Lance Stroll.
7 2 ReplyFrankly stroll has been matching Alonso the past few weekends. Now might not be the best time for these clever jokes

Perez: I'm in danger.
3 0 ReplyAfter getting pole:
3 0 ReplyDamn that is one fight for pole
3 0 ReplyMax is trying to fight against the other drivers, but is fighting against his own floor
2 0 Reply@Bademantel@feddit.de did you want rain?
2 0 ReplyHaha, I'm a fan of changing conditions so I got what I wanted. I'm excited about tomorrow. Did you enjoy it?
4 0 ReplyBetter than expected. Would have actually loved the rain to come as they forecasted, alas.

Merc PU is working really well at Silverstone.
1 0 ReplyShould be a very exciting quali in these conditions.
1 0 ReplySo what are we predicting today? I think the Red Bulls, the ones not in the gravel that is, will do very well at this circuit, so I think VER will get pole, with the McLarens right behind.
