toothless garbage. i only skimmed this but I didn't even see any mention about a fine being part of this so they dont even get the traditional slap on the wrist non-punishment.
I think they're realizing they need to clean house cause China is now starting to produce their own domestic wide body passenger jets. If Boeing reputation keeps deteriorating, then US will quickly lose the global market to China. It's probably still going to happen, but I expect this is why they want Boeing to shape up.
Serious question - does that mean that there's even a theoretical chance of some actual living, breathing person (aka Boeing exec) going to jail? Or is this 100% bullshit where the DOJ and the law pretends the company is a "person" but - oopsie - you can't put a company in jail!
If Boeing gets what it wants, which seems likely, then the only people to receive real blame will be the people doing the actual QA despite them just doing what their managers told them to, despite their own wishes.
