Technically he can because it's only illegal for felons who were convicted in Florida to vote in Florida, NY felons can move to Florida (or in this case already live there) and vote all they want
I thought felons could vote once they'd completed the terms of their sentence, but the state legislature just redefined that to mean paying back the state for your free prison lodging.
Probation? I might probably be 100% wrong and I don't know anything about New York State law - but I don't see Trump getting a typical jail sentence. I think the judge will do something very creative with jury to be sure that doesn't happen. And if the jury ignores him - he'll take matters into his own hands.
