Na heel wat jaar trouwe dienst is mijn ondertussen ietwat krakkemikkige fiets aan vervanging toe. Nu wil ik een nieuwe fiets (niet elektrisch) kopen, maar ik weet niet zo goed waar ik een goeie simpele degelijke fiets kan kopen. Voor mijn gevoel heb je heel veel fietsen allemaal toeters en bellen als speciale vering in de vork, gekke ketting, enz. Zelfs versnellingen en handremmen vind ik niet nodig, die kunnen alleen maar stuk en een achteruittraprem doet het voor mij prima.
Terwijl waar ik op zoek ben is eigenlijk min of meer een ov-fiets: onderhoudsvriendelijk, simpel, met als een luxe zo'n ingebouwde dynamo+licht. Of anders iets swapfietsachtigs: onderhoudsvriendelijk, simpel, met als enige luxe zo'n lampje die werkt op wat magneten tussen je spaken.
Maar nu de vraag: waar koop ik een ovfietsachtige fiets?

I mostly use it to set timers and alarms, but once in a while i set reminders but they often come out like i need to buy "dead foot", when I'm out of cat food for example

Ubuntu (and most other linux distributions) have a slightly different way of installing programs and applications. It has an app store, similar to Android and iOS, you can search for Firefox (and other apps) from in there. If I'm not mistaken, Ubuntu searched and notifies you for updates regularly.
The philosophy of Ubuntu (and most other linux distributions) is that you don't need to go to a bunch of different sites to download your software, you can just download all your software from the "app store".
And all of these tools are GUI's (so 'point and click'-based), so you don't need to open a terminal, if you don't want to.
