Two days left till we move. I'm under strict supervision by Miez while disassembling everything.
  • I had just moved from the city to a village and my cat is still adapting. Mornings and evenings he’s walking about meowing and every time he’s peacefully sleeping on the couch is precious.

It has some upsides, he likes having access to the outside so much he lets me put a harness and leash on him. Now we go on little walks every night.

  • SketchUP 2024 running flawlessly on Arch Linux using Wine (system 9.17)
  • Autodesks hell in the cloud called fusion 360.

A real* CAD which is free for hobbyists**.

*If you use sketchup long enough, you know I’m right.

**With increasing restrictions and only win/mac compatibility.

  • With "balkonkraftwerk," Germany's renters have access to solar electricity
  • Thats why I added the part about perfect world.

In it his house would be supplied from those panels anyway but much better placed.

And panels and inverters are cheap, but so is gasoline. Multiply it a bunch of times and the resources wasted get us another catastrophe.

  • With "balkonkraftwerk," Germany's renters have access to solar electricity
  • Those panels are supplying the grid anyway and with angles like this in their lifespan they are going to generate mega watt hours less then their correctly installed counterparts. In a perfect world (with wider solar adoption) this would be considered a waste of panels.

  • SketchUP 2024 running flawlessly on Arch Linux using Wine (system 9.17)
  • I literally used sketchup today for the first time since moving to fusion 2 years ago. Had to modify a really old model. It was dreadful compared to fusion and sketchup crashed once when merging edges but surprisingly i still knew how to do what I wanted

  • Intel has discovered what actually caused its top gaming chips to break and is rolling out another fix
  • They are delaying it more and more so that people won’t care and no recall will happen.

Corpos are now allowed to sell broken shit with no repercussions. I mean they will probably finally fail and die but the ceo will get rich so job done.

  • Study Finds Climate Change Doubled Likelihood of Recent European Floods | Storm Boris dumped record amounts of rain over Central and Eastern Europe this month.
  • In Poland there is a live memory of a 1997 flood which is commonly called a 1000-year flood.

Well, in many areas this year was much worse and 1997 wasn’t 1000 years ago. When I looked at pictures from completely obliterated cities I thought how terrible it would be if all those people rebuild, the infrastructure damage is not yet fully fixed and next year the same thing happens again.

We are not ready for the catastrophes of our own making.

  • When Autocorrect Sucks
  • The autocorrect not being able to accommodate my use of bad words was my reason to turn it off. It’s so fucking annoying, a corporation will not tell me which words I can and cannot use.

  • Saved myself 200 bucks there.

The grill is made from ASA so acetone could be used to weld the little section in place. You need to know it’s there to see it from a meter away. ! ! !
