  • It is not the only good one, because it is not good

  • In my experience, it is one of the first lessons you learn when doing any sort of project management. Seeking who is at fault is a toxic impulse you just have to ignore, it is almost never worth the damage it does to morale and the kind of behavior it encourages.

  • No, it is sadly an ideal to which reality will have to adjust itself

  • when the elves ask for an 8-hour workday

  • It's not even rhetorically good, because testing it by applying it to the real world, which is surely the first thing you would do to argue against it, immediately reveals that you can use this to just arbitrarily decide who to tolerate.

  • Injecting myself with stuff to turn into that guy sitting at the corner table of every bar

  • The artist knew what they were doing, they chose to give the monkey butt dimples even though they make no sense because of the fur

  • You have convinced me, reddit user LeResist, from now on I will be perfectly selfless by swearing loyalty to the largest ethnic group, the Han Chinese

  • I think people generally overestimate the effectiveness of the "weird" thing for actually getting votes. It probably goes over well with the loyalist democrats, but those are already going to vote for you anyway. I don't think it does anything for disaffected liberals, or dissuades lukewarm Trump voters, Trump is just too likable of a weirdo for it and now seems even more anti-establishment.

  • I just started, and so much of the dialogue reminds me of Overwatch pre-game chatter, because it is so empty in both style and content that paying attention to it actively feels like wasting your time.

  • I will also not do anything differently, unless I am forced to. You are welcome.

  • This election has shown us that the American public just isn't ready for a vice president whose name rhymes with "balls"

  • The idea of sex is an abstraction, much like anything else we can think about. It is abstracted from the rest of reality so that we can think about it. The different abstractions of it are done for some purposes, some of which are better than others. Abstraction is a social process, and we should absolutely be critical of it.

The difference between social constructivism of nature and the Marxist dialectical view is that we think that the material reality has an objective (if ever-changing) structure that is not solely determined by human thought, and for example sex exists as far as the idea is useful for understanding this reality.

  • Who can say, but I do find the liberal "proof" of Trump's dictatorial intent flimsy, and am also skeptical of his ability to do a self-coup if he did want to end democracy.

  • The End of Democracy narrative they have been building absolutely justifies it, if nothing happens it will be because they never really believed all those things

  • Harris and Trump both coincidentally die in the same car crash on election day, and the USA balkanizes as a result

  • Clothesline -> bounce off the ropes -> elbow drop

  • Interesting to see so many "leftists" condemn the actions of Seto Kaiba, even though they were all done to build duel power

  • I miss getting into new music on a train ride, I should come up with an excuse to do that again

  • The real reason for the argument is that they do not want to give trans people a higher stage of social recognition, which has happened to other minorities before. Maybe pointing out that people said the exact same thing about the term "straight" would work? It is also pretty easy to make fun of them by making them say they are not cis, and then acting like they just came out to you.
