Valve's plan to bring SteamOS to more devices is a promising sign if you want to stop gaming on Windows
  • I think that is perfectly valid and I’ll happily recommend steamos to newcomers. I’m only a little worried about it being locked to flatpaks by default though. Hopefully that will change, but for most users it will be a good start.

  • Steve Bannon is already claiming Trump can run again in 2028
  • Until recently, I always thought that is how it was. I was taught in school that it had to be 2 consecutive terms and then a term off and then 2 more back on would be possible. I'm not saying that I am correct, but I am saying that a lot of American's might believe this to be true and support trump running for another term.

  • Lemmy feels really busy to me
  • Yeah! I have almost no need for Reddit. I probably logon to it just a few times a year. Usually it is when I am trying to troubleshoot something and there is a reddit thread for it.

  • Security!
  • "Can I have a dollar?"

If he says yes, and give me a dollar, I'd wait for him to put his wallet away and then ask,

    "Can I have another dollar?"

And then do this on repeat until he stops.

  • And where did you get that info?
  • THANK YOU! I can't stand that guy. His voice kills me and I never found him funny. Nothing against him personally, he might be a great person, but I can't understand how people can stand the content he makes.

  • Criteria
  • When I have hired people, I rarely find someone that meets all the requirements. I think a wishlist is a good way to look at it. If someone hits 9/10 things at best and I need someone for the job, then they get it.

Ultimately, there is no standard way to do this as it is up to the person doing the hiring.

I'd also add that someone once specifically applied in a way that I said not to apply, but I was wrong and receiving the application through those means was actually very helpful and they met the other reqs so I hired them.

So much of this stuff is just based on intuition and your ability to demonstrate certain technical skills.

  • Marvel Rivals does almost everything right, but boy does its progression suck
  • I’ve only played a few matches, but I’ve really enjoyed it for the most part, especially once I learned the characters.

My only issue, and it might be because I’m getting older, is that I don’t notice when I get low on health, like the health meter is too small and I just randomly die.

I did not have that problem in overwatch.

  • Metal Gear Solid 1 was the best in the series.

I recently replayed MGS1 for psx and then MGS2 for PS2. I just started up MGS3 and I cannot get into it.

I think I often read that people love MGS3, but I think MGS1 has the most interesting story and levels. I also think the bosses in MGS1 were much more fun than they were in MGS2.

Am I in the minority here? What other games would you recommend that capture the MGS1 vibe?
