i posted a month ago about there being a giant schism in the programming community between Pro-AI/Anti-AI people. It really seems that as of this week the Anti-AI people are overwhelmingly winning. I barely see anything supportive of AI for any purpose anymore.

The only tool they have is changing the weights of inputs, and they no longer know what weights correspond to what outputs. They can't fix the 'yellow filter' on the image generator. They can't fix the em-dash stuff. etc.

They made the mistake of allowing the player to choose which alters they create, except for the technician and researcher. So they can build the story around knowing you have those two. So they end up being necessary for everything

At work, spent 4 days doing a major refactor to fix a long standing bad design in our db, touching ~50 files in c# and typescript. Surprisingly all worked right away on my first test, with just a few minor bugs.

Then spent all day today applying that refactor to optimize a webpage that originally needed 20mb of data to load, to around 800kb. God I love this shit, I live for it. I love my job lol

I bought a new Xbox One controller, which connects via usb-c. But for some reason, it only works when the usb cable is plugged in on one orientation, not the other. In my case, its usb cable label-side up. Super weird lol
