Inequality is up.
IIRC inequality is higher than it was during the Gilded Age, so yeah.
Not the person you asked, but I'll give my answer: I don't know where I'd go, but I've been learning French for the last few years, in part, to increase my options.
(The other reason I picked French is that I've also been considering getting a sailboat and becoming nomadic, and France owns a whole bunch of tropical islands.)
FYI to people voting on this comment chain: Samvega is correct and snoggums is wrong.
You're wrong in two ways:
- The Democrats are, in fact, a right-wing party.
- Conservatism has always been right-wing. That other meaning you think was "original" was never anything more than a lie they told to dupe people into supporting them against their own interests.
Who said anything about "childless?" Even if femboy sluts prefer catching, that doesn't mean it's impossible for them to have pitched occasionally.
To be clear, I'm talking specifically about suspecting an AMOC collapse sooner, specifically because I'm extrapolating from a trend of newer AMOC collapse studies revising the estimate sooner. I'm not talking about predicting generalized doom because of vibes.
(I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I'm speaking a little more scientifically than that.)
As someone who gets greeted alarmingly often by people whose names I ought to remember but don't (I'm a minor community leader but am bad with names), I've wanted a device like this for 20+ years. I'm a little sad about the concept being vilified.
On the other hand, as an advocate for both privacy and Free Software, I always imagined it as being completely self-hosted and only adding people's names/faces to its database when I'm introduced to them in person. I'm not at all sad about the particular implementation being vilified.
I hope they're retaliated against and stopped long before that!
I mean, it's great that Internet Archive is back online, but I haven't heard any news about catching the perps or anything else that would stop the attacks from continuing yet. There's still a job to be done, is what I'm saying.
You know the "best" part? As far as I can tell, each new study tends to refine the timeline estimate sooner (and not just because new studies are in the future compared to older ones). Personally, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the collapse happens within a decade.
Yes, I understand that that's the reason, but a reason is not the same thing as an excuse.
There's a reason all of my cars are more than 15 years old.
Every US State has its own government, too. I don't see that as an excuse.
The better question is "why didn't the 23rd grant voting rights to all US citizens in all territories?"
Let's just say it looked like a Jackson Pollock by the end.
The difference between a Cybertruck and a Countach is the difference between a self-indulgent wiener and a connoisseur.
I would never own one because of (a) the disrespect for my right to repair and modify and (b) Piss-baby Musk baggage, but I admit I kinda like the styling too.
I'm also a fan of DeLoreans and other '80s sports cars.
Even back then, they were shitty, closed-source spyware-boxes.

We owe it to this young man to realise the scale of the problem and draw all the consequences,” Brossat told the Nouvel Obs.
