Yet this is the thread I woke up to today. I could've woken up to it yesterday if I knew it would please ya.
By that logic, those who praise Luigi Mangione are fascists.
There is a simple answer to the Nazi Bar parable. Deconstruct the ideology into elements. Use fine lines to combat the blurry lines the Nazi is exploiting. It's not rocket science, it's literally how Reddit operates. Not that anyone here would know that.
The "Leni person" was banned in your instance because she condemned those who promote violence against Luigi Mangione and it ended up in !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com

You: Thanks for the context.
You might want to check to make sure you weren't fed info that has been spin-doctored. Because that's exactly what's going on.
I'll be honest, that definitely doesn't sound like an abuse of mod powers to me. She acted on those who tried to incite violence against people with money. Lemmy has the worst reputation of all time across the web, with even Tumblr blocking most fediverse links, and the worst thing one can discourage is the occasional reasonable opinion on here. The admins probably asked her to do it, and whatever happened upon her defending Musk seems to make the same mindset crystal clear.
Modlogs lie too, and admins overreact. Look at the OP. That's the whole point here. Are you telling me you've never been banned from another website for reasons that didn't apply to you? I don't agree with everything she says, but she is right to take it all with a grain of salt, and the fact she said so was spoken in a way that proves all her points.
Goes to show Ada's way of doing things is one of absolute monarchy rather than committee.
That's a badge of honor at this point.
Another reason why I dislike humanity.
You had one job, humans.
I mean compared to the other motives people have had.
Forgive my ignorance, but I have a question about this. In my country, we tend to associate America with a lot of DIY justice, from vigilantism to witch hunting, and you can still find the stereotype of Americans hunting down witches/communists/abusers/etc. in localized media. Yet nobody is witch hunting against gun owners?
I don't know, I look at many of you and think that yelling "that guy's a gun owner" sounds like it would have more merit and success than "that guy is an abuser". Gun owning sounds like the one thing I can find feasible to do in the form of mob justice, and nobody does it. And here you guys are descending into chaos because bullets are a cultural value to you.
laughs in lives in a monarchy
How were your comments able to get removed from the modlogs so that you can only see them all from your home instance? Isn't that cheating the system (as per how modlogs are supposed to work)?
Anyone else going to bring up the fact she's clutching the side of her chest without her heart?
Unless she's a time lord.
I'm surprised they didn't ask for Nintendo.
Welp, there goes my YouTube monetization.
I consider myself well off and have never been to Disney. It just seems like a regular park with more hype.
