wow, so there are continuums. In that case group B is the "transitional" group between species A and C or the common ancestor between the 2. I guess we'd need a category for this situation. What a mess. Maybe "Intraspecies".
It just feels wrong to leave the tree/pyramid of life incomplete as far as categorizing.
Why the Definition of species should be 2 creatures that can produce fertile offspring.
People are ready for alternatives to Reddit, Twitter, Facebook... Can a community on reddit shutdown, and seamlessly transfer to lemmy within a few days while archiving the subreddits history? Will the new Lemmy be hands off moderation at the site level so that conversation can be had? If you can give people a yes to both people will join.
The fediverse is too complicated which I said in detail on my post on c/fediverse currently its a mess each domain has hundreds of different sites that aren't interconnected and where you need to create a new account on each. If Lemmy had a front page like reddit and allowed for all its smaller communities to be coded and personalized to be completely different while allowing the top 25 posts every 24 hours to pop up and allowing a place to search for a specific community. We could still allow an approval process for specific communities but reddit would fall in months with how mods at reddit currently behave
If the fediverse has any chance at properly succeeding it must create a "front page" for each alternative. Lemmy for reddit for example. There is no reason why all of lemmy can't have a front page like old.lemmy.world with each community/platform on lemmy being connected and allowing for ease of access unlike what it is currently where you need a different account for every single Lemmy site

Ideally it would be hosted in the EU and thus only things illegal there would be enforced.
Unless peertube has a way to properly monetize and at a much higher rate it's not beating YouTube which in conjunction will sponsors and patreon is doing great for creators. pixelfed has potential
Lemmy.com Mastodon.com ... If those were the front pages that curated the top 25 posts and top 25 sub groups in the last 24 hours and it was a space where you could search for the groups you fit into or are interested in. No more confusing mess.
I know but having a reddit style front page or trending like Twitter would look more engagefull.
Email is a utility 💀 not a social platform
Just to be clear each site, Lemmy, Mastodon.... Would have it's own front page under this idea.
A group of people who would all need to agree before action, a mini government of sorts, maybe elected idk but its the only way to gain a real foothold. The people running it are only supposed to act if illegal activity is going on and they are contacted by authorities in the appropriate jurisdiction.
Because social media is controlled by big corporations and thats why they are such shit. Once Reddit, Twitter and Facebook falls and if it falls to the fediverse it will be controlled by the average joe not political money motivated operatives
That can be worked out, have power shared by say 10 people who have to agree to any changes they make to it. or use AI (I know not ideal).
Improving the Fediverse to allow it to actually take over the social media space.

Get a post on reddits ALL saying a site with the same UI as old reddit but better moderation and Run in Europe and people will swell if its easy to switch. Especally now because reddit just said you can get banned for what you upvote LOL

Yes but I need to define free will, I define it as the freedom to make a choice. We don't control who our parents are, we don't control what country we live in, we don't control how others interact with us but we can control what choices we make.
